📐 About the role

We're looking for an exceptional senior brand designer to join our high-impact, low-ego, and passionately creative team. This is a pivotal role that goes beyond traditional design, focusing on both world-class visual execution and building scalable operations. You’ll be instrumental in evolving WRITER's brand design system, crafting compelling visual assets across every touchpoint, and establishing operational excellence within our creative workflows. Your work will directly impact how WRITER is perceived in the market, translating complex AI concepts into accessible, human-first visual stories that resonate with the world's leading enterprises.

This isn't just about creating beautiful designs; it's about pioneering the future of our brand’s presence. You’ll build robust design processes, manage intricate projects involving multiple stakeholders, and champion brand consistency across our rapidly expanding ecosystem. We need someone who is as comfortable leading design critiques in Figma as they are orchestrating project timelines in Asana, ensuring our creative output is both brilliant and delivered seamlessly.

This role is hybrid in our San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, and Austin hubs, and you’ll report to our creative director.

🦸🏻‍♀️ What you'll do

  • Drive the evolution of WRITER's visual brand identity system across all marketing design touchpoints, from content and events to social media and presentations, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand story

  • Design and produce high-impact brand assets, including campaign visuals, presentations, and sales collateral, translating complex AI and enterprise concepts into accessible and engaging visual communications

  • Guide video projects (either as a hands on editor, or from an operational perspective with video contractors)

  • Build and optimize design operations workflows, owning project planning and resource allocation for all brand design initiatives to enable efficient, scalable creative output

  • Lead the maintenance and development of WRITER's design system in Figma, establishing best practices for file organization, version control, and creating reusable components that empower rapid, consistent asset creation

  • Manage end-to-end project execution for all brand design workstreams using Asana, crafting detailed project plans, monitoring progress, and facilitating seamless cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to translate business objectives into effective visual strategies and present compelling design concepts to stakeholders and executives

  • Mentor fellow designers, sharing expertise in craft and operational excellence while continuously innovating and bringing fresh perspectives to how WRITER's brand presents itself in the market

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional brand design experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity, demonstrating a strong track record in B2B technology, SaaS platforms, or enterprise software environments

  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing sophisticated brand identity development, impactful campaign design, and compelling visual storytelling that effectively translates complex ideas into clear and engaging visuals

  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma and Asana, alongside deep expertise in typography, color theory, composition, and layout principles, enabling you to Connect deeply with our visual language

  • A proven ability to proactively build and optimize scalable design processes and manage complex projects efficiently, reflecting your knack to Own outcomes and drive operational excellence

  • Strong collaborative instincts and communication skills, adept at partnering with diverse stakeholders, gathering requirements, and influencing creative direction while embracing the spirit to Challenge the status quo constructively

  • Experience in leading design critiques, providing mentorship, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and high-quality creative output

  • A keen understanding of brand strategy and how visual design directly supports business objectives, with the agility to adapt to evolving market trends
