Seer is a remote-first agency and a Certified B-Corp, with team members across the country. If an office environment is more your style, this position can also sit in our HQ office in Philadelphia. We can only consider candidates based in the US who can work continental US-based hours.
The Role: If the idea of dialing for dollars makes you want to close the tab, keep reading. This role isn't that. You're a digital marketing practitioner who has spent years building strategies, presenting to executives, and making the case for how channels work together to drive business outcomes. You've been selling your expertise all along but you just never called it sales. At Seer, you'll take that instinct and apply it to one of the most intellectually honest growth practices in the industry: building (inbound) relationships with major brands, figuring out which ones we can actually help, and building the strategy to prove it.
Role Highlights
- We have a pipeline of 600+ inbound leads annually, your job is to ask the right questions, get to the truth quickly, and be just as willing to disqualify a lead as you are to close it
- Run discovery calls with Fortune 500 marketing teams to understand their business challenges, channel mix, digital maturity, and what success actually looks like for them
- Collaborate with divisional experts across SEO, Paid Media, Analytics, and Creative to build data-informed, channel-integrated growth strategies tailored to each prospect
- Lead pitch presentations and proposals for prospects up to the C-suite that show exactly how Seer can move the needle
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with legal guidance when deals are ready to close
- Manage the full process from first contact through client kick-off, ensuring every new partner is a strong values and capability fit before anything is signed
- Deliver a seamless handoff to account teams so every new client relationship starts on solid ground
- Contribute to the Seer blog, speak at industry events, and engage in professional communities to build Seer's brand and surface new business conversations organically
Lead Qualification & Consultative Discovery
Strategy & Pitch Development
Pipeline & Client Handoff
Thought Leadership & Community
Essential Skills
- You have practitioner experience in digital marketing. You understand how SEO, paid media, analytics, and other channels interact to drive business outcomes, not just how one channel works in isolation
- You are a natural relationship builder who has spent your career earning trust with clients or stakeholders, not a stranger to a high-stakes conversation
- You have experience presenting strategy to senior decision-makers and can translate complexity into clarity for a VP or CMO audience
- You are comfortable operating autonomously with a high-volume workload and bring structure and discipline to your own pipeline
- You are data-driven, you use numbers to qualify, build your case, and sharpen your approach over time
- You feel energized by the consultative side of client work, you want to solve real problems, not pitch from a script
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and can make good decisions with incomplete information
- You have experience working with AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, or strategy development and you're always looking for ways to work smarter
- You have a background in Client Engagement, Account Management, or a client-facing strategy role and have been responsible for organic account growth
- You have experience in a digital agency environment where you've pitched or contributed to pitches for new clients
- You have familiarity with tools like Pipedrive, HubSpot, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- You have hands-on channel experience in more than one discipline (e.g., SEO + Paid, or Paid + Analytics)
Bonus!
This might not be the right role for you if
- You thrive on cold outreach and commission-based incentives, this role is 90% inbound with a full salary and bonus, not a commission structure
- You specialize deeply in one digital marketing channel but haven't had to make the case for how channels work together
- You prefer to stay in execution mode and aren't energized by client-facing conversations or the business side of the work
- You need a highly defined playbook to follow: this role requires judgment, curiosity, and comfort with figuring things out in real time
- Saying "no" to a potential client feels like failure, here, disqualifying the wrong-fit lead is part of doing the job well
30/60/90
- Immerse yourself in Seer's pitch process, service offerings, and the types of leads we work best with
- Shadow discovery calls and strategy presentations to understand how the Business Strategy team qualifies and wins business
- Begin running your own discovery conversations with inbound leads under guidance
- Independently own the full discovery process on a set of inbound leads from first call through proposal
- Build your first pitch collaboratively with a divisional SME and present it to a real prospect
- Develop your working understanding of when to push forward and when a lead isn't the right fit
- Owning your pipeline end-to-end with a clear handle on close rate, average deal size, and time-to-close
- Contributing intelligence back to the team on patterns you're seeing what kinds of leads convert, what objections come up, what the market is saying
- Tracking toward a $2M annual revenue target from inbound leads
