Business Systems Analyst – Marketing Technology (Marketo / Salesforce) (Hybrid, Burnaby BC)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Systems Analyst – Marketing Technology to join our IT Business Systems – Marketing Technology team in Burnaby, reporting to the Strategic Product Owner – IT/Marketing.

In this pivotal role, you will serve as a senior systems partner to Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, and GTM stakeholders, leading the design, optimization, and governance of our marketing technology ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong hands-on Marketo experience, deep understanding of Salesforce integrations, and a practical knowledge of how B2B SaaS marketing and sales processes work across the full revenue lifecycle.

You will help shape and scale the systems that power campaign execution, lead management, scoring, routing, nurture programs, attribution, and reporting. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Business Systems, Data & Analytics, and IT Security to translate go-to-market strategy into scalable technical capabilities, improve data quality and process automation, and deliver better visibility across the funnel.

This is a hybrid role based in Burnaby, with two days onsite each week, and candidates must live in the Vancouver metro area.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

  • Lead requirements discovery and refinement across campaign execution, lead management, routing, scoring, nurture, lifecycle stages, attribution, and ABM motions 
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional requirements, process flows, and documentation to support CRM and marketing technology enhancements 
  • Design, configure, and continuously improve solutions across Marketo, Salesforce, and integrated GTM tools to enable campaigns, customer journeys, funnel visibility, and revenue operations 
  • Optimize integrations across CRM, marketing automation, enrichment, intent, enablement, and BI platforms to ensure accurate, timely, and trusted data flow 
  • Strengthen data quality, governance, and compliance across leads, contacts, accounts, campaigns, and preference data in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders 
  • Partner with Data & Analytics to enhance reporting and dashboards covering pipeline, funnel health, attribution, campaign performance, and lifecycle conversion 
  • Drive continuous improvement in lead scoring, routing, segmentation, and nurture logic to increase operational efficiency and GTM effectiveness 
  • Troubleshoot campaign, system, and integration issues with technical teams and vendors, applying structured root-cause analysis and driving long-term fixes 
  • Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and vendors to plan releases, manage dependencies, document systems/processes, and evaluate new technologies through vendor assessments and POCs

AI-Enabled Innovation — How You'll Help Us Modernize

  • Identify and apply AI-driven opportunities to improve segmentation, reporting, campaign QA, workflow automation, content generation, and operational efficiency across the marketing technology stack
  • Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, generative AI assistants, and platform-native AI capabilities to streamline documentation, requirements drafting, release communications, troubleshooting, and user enablement content
  • Evaluate where AI can responsibly reduce manual effort in campaign setup, data quality analysis, issue triage, testing support, reporting insights, and process documentation
  • Partner with business and technical teams to test and scale practical AI use cases across marketing systems while applying sound judgment, governance, and data sensitivity standards
  • Help the organization adopt AI in ways that improve speed, quality, and insight generation without compromising data quality, process rigor, or stakeholder trust

Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, Marketing Technology, CRM administration, Marketing Operations systems, Revenue Operations systems, or related roles supporting go-to-market teams
  • Hands-on Marketo experience is required, including campaign setup, smart campaigns, lead lifecycle flows, scoring, segmentation, routing, forms, and operational troubleshooting
  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or related CRM platforms, including business process design, upstream/downstream dependencies, and integration support
  • Strong understanding of modern B2B marketing operations and revenue lifecycle processes, including lead management, campaign execution, scoring, routing, attribution, funnel measurement, and lifecycle reporting
  • Experience integrating Marketo, Salesforce, and related martech platforms with analytics, data warehouse, enrichment, intent, customer, partner, or enablement systems
  • Practical experience with martech tools such as Bizible, Salesloft, Outreach, Adobe Experience Manager / Adobe DAM, 6sense, Demandbase, ZoomInfo, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and processes, identify gaps, and recommend pragmatic, scalable solutions aligned to GTM goals
  • Experience working in Agile or Kanban environments, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, iterative delivery, and close partnership with technical teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts and build cross-functional trust; plus experience creating documentation, process maps, and training materials
  • Experience identifying and responsibly using AI to improve workflows, reporting, content creation, analysis, or systems operations in an enterprise environment with familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, generative AI platforms, or embedded AI features in business systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Marketing Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Learn our current Marketo and Salesforce landscape, campaign processes, data flows, lead lifecycle definitions, and operational priorities. Begin owning a defined set of enhancements, support requests, or optimization opportunities while learning our standards and operating rhythms.

Six Months: Become a trusted systems partner for Marketing Operations and GTM teams. Lead delivery of enhancements from discovery through deployment, improve visibility into system behavior and data flow, and contribute meaningfully to lead routing, scoring, lifecycle, and reporting improvements. Drive measurable progress on process consistency, campaign support, documentation, and operational quality. Begin identifying practical AI-enabled opportunities that improve team efficiency and reduce manual work.

One Year: Be recognized as a subject matter expert across our core marketing technology stack, especially in Marketo and Salesforce-connected workflows. Help shape the multi-quarter roadmap for marketing systems, champion best practices for lifecycle design, data quality, and campaign operations, and lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance automation, reporting, and scalability across the revenue engine. Play a visible role in modernizing the team’s use of AI to improve execution, insight generation, and user experience.
