As a Category Supplier Manager, you will be the primary category point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations for the site.
In this role, you will work with partners to build comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success.
You will participate and/or lead in the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and pricing/contract negotiation.
Job Responsibilities:
Category Management & Strategic Sourcing
  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives and procurement priorities.
  • Analyze spend data, sourcing patterns, supplier capabilities, and market conditions to find opportunities for value creation.
  • Lead supplier segmentation activities and support category planning and goal setting.
  • Establish effective supplier performance management processes and monitor stakeholder satisfaction with key suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional Category Managers and cross-functional partners to align sourcing strategies and business requirements.
  • Drive initiatives that improve cost competitiveness, purchasing efficiency, supplier performance, and customer service.

Cost Management & Market Analysis
  • Identify, quantify, and implement category-specific savings and value-generation opportunities.
  • Deliver annual cost savings, revenue improvement, and procurement performance targets.
  • Provide market intelligence, industry trends, and pricing insights to support sourcing decisions and long-term planning.
  • Develop and apply should-cost models, benchmarking analyses, and total-cost-of-ownership methodologies.
  • Monitor supplier cost structures and market dynamics to proactively manage risk and opportunities.

Negotiation & Contract Management
  • Lead competitive sourcing events, RFQs, contract renewals, price negotiations, supplier transitions, and commercial discussions.
  • Develop negotiation strategies that balance cost, quality, service, supply assurance, and risk management objectives.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, commercial terms, and service-level agreements.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and drive supplier accountability for performance commitments.
  • Use supplier and industry analysis to back strategic sourcing choices and long-term value creation.

Business Partnership
  • Build strong relationships with key partners and serve as a trusted sourcing advisor.
  • Understand business requirements and develop procurement solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Drive a customer-focused approach while representing Procurement within cross-functional teams.
  • Develop collaborative supplier partnerships that enhance supply chain efficiency, resilience, innovation, and cost effectiveness.
  • Maintain expertise in assigned categories and continuously supervise industry developments.

Digital & AI Enablement
  • Leverage AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve procurement effectiveness, accuracy, and decision-making.
  • Find opportunities to deploy AI-enabled solutions across sourcing, supplier management, and market intelligence activities.
  • Champion adoption of digital technologies and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain functions.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings, managing supplier relationships, and leading sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced understanding of cost structures, cost modeling, and commercial analysis.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Experience leveraging AI, analytics, and digital tools to improve business processes is highly desirable.
