Position Overview:

We have a fast-growing team of dedicated consultants with deep experience from working both within the industry and consulting. Successful candidates should expect a diverse range of complex and strategic engagements across the Insurance market. As we continue to expand our client base and expertise, we are looking for individuals to join our team to support our growth journey. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing solutions for a range of issues facing insurance companies. Over the course of each project, you will collect and analyze data, prepare and test hypotheses, and present recommendations to the client to solve their unique business challenge. You’ll be playing a proactive supporting role in driving our programs forward and engaging directly with client stakeholders to solve their business challenges.

Data Engineering & Operations Specialist 

What You Will Be Doing: 

Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, data integration solutions, and data architecture. Additionally, expertise in Snowflake is required to ensure efficient and scalable data storage, processing, and analytics.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience (4+ years) as a Senior Data Engineer, with expertise in Qlik Replicate, Compose, and DBTLabs & Astronomer, combined with hands-on experience in Snowflake typically required.
  • Proficiency in Qlik Replicate, Compose, and Github, DBTLabs & Astronomer for data integration, replication, and transformation.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Expertise in Snowflake, including data ingestion, storage, performance optimization, and security.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and working with cloud-based data solutions and services.
  • Familiarity with data quality, data governance, and data lifecycle management practices.
  • Solid programming skills in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data manipulation and automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with the ability to diagnose and resolve data engineering issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines.

  • At least 4 years of proven consulting experience at a recognized consulting firm or through an ‘in-house’ consulting / business analyst role at a leading financial institution.

  • Experience within financial services, preferably within the insurance industry.

  • Excellent consulting and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with recognized project and consulting frameworks and business process mapping.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner; executive presentation skills.

  • Proven track record of building and sustaining lasting relationships with team members.

  • Appetite to support clients across our practice areas Intellectual capacity and ability to think in new, innovative ways to understand complex issues and develop creative solutions.

  • Ability to comfortably multi-task and engage in multiple initiatives concurrently.

  • Flexibility to travel up to 50%.
