Job Description

About this role:

Few roles inside a marketing organization carry this kind of responsibility. The Senior Manager, Content Strategy shapes how a 500-person global function and its leader show up at every consequential moment: all-hands stages, executive forums, customer events, and industry platforms.

This person is a ghostwriter, a strategic content advisor, and an organizational storyteller. They translate complex business context into the clear, declarative stories that defines the SVP's voice, and they ensure that voice is coherent and consistent at every touchpoint.

The right candidate has operated as a trusted partner to a senior executive and understands what it means to represent someone's voice with precision and care. Strong editorial judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to produce polished work quickly under pressure are non-negotiable.

  • SVP Executive Content. Support content development on behalf of the SVP, including - presentations, town hall, LinkedIn, and executive forums. Maintain a consistent editorial standard: short declarative sentences, urgency through specifics, no hedging.

  • Internal Communications - EFM Organization. Execute a coherent internal communications rhythm for the 500-person global EFM organization. Own the editorial calendar for all-hands meetings, LT updates, geo town halls, and the monthly EFM newsletter. Ensure every internal communication connects to the transformation narrative.

  • External Communications and Thought Leadership. Draft external-facing content for the SVP: industry keynote remarks, executive panel talking points, customer roundtable framing documents, and LinkedIn-style thought leadership content. Research and synthesize market context to ensure external communications reflect current intelligence and competitive positioning.

  • Content Calendar and Rhythm of Business. Maintain the EFM communications calendar in coordination with the Chief of Staff. Anticipate communications needs aligned to the business calendar -QBRs, planning cycles, all-hands, product launches, and organizational changes. Drive proactive communications, not reactive ones.

  • Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Alignment. Coordinate with Marketing Communications, the CMO office, Internal Comms, and the EFM Chief of Staff to ensure messaging alignment across the organization. Identify and resolve conflicts in narrative or timing before they reach the SVP's desk.

  • Change Communications. Own the communications workstream of EFM's transformation program. Design and execute the change narrative with audience-specific WIIFM for each segment of the EFM team. Build the manager enablement toolkit that allows people leaders to cascade the narrative accurately and confidently. Manage the listening tour program in partnership with EFM LT.

Qualifications

What you need:

  • 6+ years of communications experience, with at least 3 years in an executive communications or speechwriting role supporting a VP-level or above executive

  • Exceptional writing - clear, direct, and adaptable across registers: from concise executive email to long-form transformation narrative to scripted keynote remarks

  • Experience developing organizational change communications; you understand how to land a difficult message with clarity and care

  • Strong editorial judgment: you can identify what a piece is really trying to say and cut everything else without being asked

  • Ability to capture and maintain an executive's voice across multiple formats; this requires deep listening, pattern recognition, and professional discretion

  • Comfort with strategic business context — you need to understand pipeline, QBR structures, and go-to-market frameworks to write about them credibly

  • Strong PowerPoint skills; this is a writing and structuring role, not a design role, but you can build a compelling executive deck

  • Experience operating in global marketing organizations; familiarity with enterprise B2B context is strongly preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous deliverables with tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
