We are looking for talented individuals with 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Database administration experience to join our team
Primary Focus:
- Administer and support Oracle databases (production and non-production), ensuring high availability, performance, and security
- Design, implement, and maintain backup/recovery strategies (RMAN), including regular restore testing
- Perform upgrades, patching, and migrations (Oracle PSU/RU, version upgrades), minimizing downtime and risk
- Monitor and tune database performance (SQL tuning, indexing, AWR/ASH analysis), troubleshoot incidents and root cause issues
- Implement and maintain replication/high availability solutions (Data Guard, RAC if applicable) and participate in DR activities
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (Shell/Python) and standardize operational procedures
- Work closely with application, DevOps, and security teams to support releases and ensure compliance and audit readiness
- Maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and operational reporting
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience (Oracle 12c/19c/21c) in high-load, mission-critical environments
- Strong knowledge of Oracle architecture and administration (ASM, tablespaces, users/roles, privileges, listener/networking)
- Solid experience with backup and recovery using RMAN; understanding of RPO/RTO principles
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning (AWR/ASH, SQL tuning, execution plans, optimizer basics)
- Experience with high availability and disaster recovery (Oracle Data Guard; RAC is a plus)
- Knowledge of Linux (command line, troubleshooting, basic OS performance metrics)
- Scripting/automation skills (Bash; Python is a plus)
- Understanding of security best practices (encryption, access control, auditing); experience with compliance/audit processes is a plus
- Good communication skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- English (Intermediate+)
