What you’ll do:

  • You will be one of the senior technical leaders of the department helping define the technical strategy for DevOps across the enterprise.

  • You will develop technical processes that increase efficiency, reduce downtime and improve performance at scale across all development teams.

  • You will automate the build and deployment of custom application code throughout the entire application lifecycle.

  • You will build monitoring solutions that improve visibility into our application performance and keep operational workload in check.

  • You will create infrastructure that is easily deployable and scalable and educate others on infrastructure as code patterns.

  • You will develop container orchestration to support the deployment and lifecycle management of applications running in AWS.

  • You will work directly with various development teams as a DevSecOps SME to troubleshoot development toolchain issues.

  • You will architect and implement robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Terraform Cloud (via HCP).

  • You will design and optimize secure, scalable CI/CD/CT pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps (AzDO) or other future technologies.

  • You will drive security automation utilizing SAST, DAST, SCA, and container scanning using tool chains as defined by the Security Department.

  • You will mentor, guide, and train junior members of the DevSecOps team as well as internal development customer teams in DevOps best practices and methodology, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • You will be an implementer for the entire TXM DevSecOps toolchain, supporting development teams across the entire enterprise for both strategic as well as operational activities.

  • You will collaborate with development, IT operations, and security teams to integrate security into all phases of software delivery.

  • You will help design and build a next-generation Integrated Development Platform, leveraging GenAI and ML technologies.

  • You have hands-on experience in transformiative CI/CD/CT automation, shift-left integrations, and advanced maturity models to achieve enterprise-grade DevSecOps results.

  • You own proven expertise in leading large-scale on-premises transitions to AWS-ECS implementations leveraging IaC, container orchestration, and zero-downtime strategies to optimize scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.

  • You possess a track record of shaping enterprise-wide cloud adoption, driving transformative initiatives (e.g., cloud governance, FinOps, IaC), and aligning technical execution with business outcomes for scalability, cost optimization, and innovation.

  • You had deep expertise in driving complex initiatives into sprint-driven deliverables, aligning cross-functional teams, and embedding security practices into iterative workflows for measurable operational outcomes.

  • You have a proven track record of working with development teams to understand their challenges and then designing data driven solutions to optimize their workflows.

  • You possess a strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, CIS) and know to shift their implementation as far left as possible using security tooling automation and policy as code.

  • You drive forward-thinking architecture by developing DevSecOps tooling and process enhancements that can be integrated into an Internal Development Platform, incorporating platform engineering principles to streamline development workflows.

  • You understand how to integrate DevSecOps and Platform Engineering initiatives into company goals to deliver real business value.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field or equivalent training and experience.

  • At least 4 years of experience in DevOps and Cloud Engineering/Operations.

  • At least 3 years of hands-on AWS experience.  SAA, SysOps, SAPro, and DevOps Pro certs preferred.

  • At least 3 years of software development experience utilizing a modern development language(s) and applicable framework(s).

  • Expert-level knowledge of Terraform and Terraform Cloud (HCP) for infrastructure automation.

  • Strong proficiency with CI/CD platforms, particularly Azure DevOps and Jenkins/Cloudbees CI.

  • Hands-on experience with SonarQube (or an equivalent technology) for code quality analysis.

  • Deep understanding of observability and performance monitoring with a tool such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus+Grafana, and/or ELK Stack.

  • Extensive knowledge of IAM, secrets management, zero-trust security architectures, and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.

  • Proficiency in both Windows and Linux-based operating systems.

  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, drive cultural transformation, and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent work ethic and positive attitude.

  • Never-ending curiosity and desire to try new things.

  • Excellent communications skills.

Bonus points for (in no order):

  • Certifications in DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and Docker

  • Experience building and integrating with APIs

  • Experience with Java and Springboot applications

  • Certified Docker Associate

  • Hands-on experience with Hashicorp Sentinel and Packer

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator

  • Masters degee in CS, IT, or related engineering field

  • 104+ years of direct, hands-on experience

  • Experience with AngularJS, NodeJS, or ReactJS applications

  • Hashicorp Terraform Associate or Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional certifications.

  • Experience building an Integrated Development Platform (IDP)

  • AWS Certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate, Developer Associate, SysOps Associate,  ML Engineer Associate,  Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Professional, or any of the AWS Speciality certifications

  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CKS, or OSCP

  • Linux administrator certifications.

  • Knowledge of SRE concepts around application hardening, automated scaling, fault-tolerance, A/B testing

  • Experience implementing deployment methods such as blue/green deployments, immutable deployments, rolling deployments, and canary deployments

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.

Base Pay Range: $133,081.10 - $164,394.30 Per Year
