The ChallengeEverOps is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who has a deep understanding of enterprise Azure cloud infrastructure and has the ability to manage projects autonomously – with little direction. You’ll leverage strong communication and collaboration while focusing on client satisfaction and high availability.
The MissionAs a DevOps Engineer at EverOps you will join our U.S.-Based Virtual Operating Center (your home office), working with a team of dynamic engineers to manage multiple customers’ production Azure cloud environments. The work we do is uniquely dynamic and each day brings new challenges – Imagine a world where you won’t be siloed into one aspect or facet of operations engineering. Our existing team of engineers has a deep understanding of our customer environments and are eager to empower, ramp up, and mentor each new hire so that success is achieved.
What You’ll DoDevelop and use automation tools effectively to operate, manage, and scale production and development environments in Azure quickly
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines, including multi-stage YAML pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
Author and maintain Azure infrastructure using Bicep templates and Terraform modules, following IaC best practices
Participate in regular customer and internal EverOps scrums
Monitor Azure environments using native tooling and third-party platforms while focusing on constant improvement
Implement new Azure services and technologies as customer requirements evolve
Design and execute new solutions while working to improve existing ones
Provide operational support and project deployments for our customer environments
10+ years of professional experience as a DevOps, CloudOps, or Site Reliability Engineer
Hands-on experience and deep understanding of Linux
Strong hands-on professional experience with either Golang, Python, Bash, TypeScript, or PowerShell
Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure – designing, building, and running highly-available, cloud-native environments
Strong proficiency with Azure DevOps including Boards, Repos, Pipelines (multi-stage YAML), Artifacts, and Test Plans
Hands-on experience authoring Azure Bicep templates for infrastructure deployments, including modules, parameter files, and deployment scopes
Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles with Terraform on Azure (azurerm provider) and/or Bicep
Experience with Azure-native automation tools such as Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, and ARM templates
Familiarity and/or experience with containerization using Docker
Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Datadog, or Prometheus/Grafana
Experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL MI or Microsoft SQL Server
Understanding of Azure networking, security, and identity concepts including VNets, NSGs, Azure AD, RBAC, and Key Vault
Experience with Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints, or Microsoft Defender for Cloud for governance and compliance
Experience with Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, or Logic Apps for event-driven architectures
Familiarity with Azure data services such as Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Data Factory
Strong desire to learn new Azure technologies and stay current with the Azure roadmap
Industry certifications – especially AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate
Experience in SaaS companies and startup environments
Experience with source control best practices in Azure Repos or GitHub, including branch strategies and pull request workflows
Experience with W365 and Intune
