Summary:
The Senior Director - Market Integration is responsible for leading IT strategies and operations to support seamless merger, acquisition, and divestiture (MA&D) activities in North America, with a strong focus on accountability, governance, and security for all acquired or divested infrastructure. This key position ensures operational continuity, and alignment with the strategic objectives of the Enterprise Infrastructure and Cloud team.
Key Responsibilities for MAI Activities with Market Integration Focus:
1. Strategic Planning and Vision
  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the Market Integration team's objectives, focusing on governance, security, and accountability for acquired or divested infrastructure.
  • Lead strategic technology planning to ensure application resilience and operational continuity during MA&D activities.
  • Define and oversee technology and resource integration roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business priorities and market integration goals.

2. Infrastructure and Systems Integration
  • Oversee the engineering, deployment, and operation of critical IT infrastructure systems, ensuring seamless integration or divestiture of networks, data centers, and operational facilities.
  • Drive accountability for infrastructure governance and security across acquired or divested assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and security protocols.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain data center resilience, operational reliability, and business continuity throughout transitions.

3. Governance and Security
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks to ensure accountability for all infrastructure-related activities during MA&D.
  • Lead efforts to ensure IT regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR or SOX compliance) and implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and systems during integrations or divestitures.
  • Collaborate with the Market Integration team to develop policies, processes, and standards for infrastructure management across acquired or divested entities.

4. Operational Continuity and Resilience
  • Ensure operational continuity by proactively identifying and mitigating risks to IT infrastructure during transitions.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to maintain resilience in data centers and operational facilities.
  • Monitor and measure service performance, implementing improvements to optimize operational outcomes.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration and Partnership
  • Partner with the Market Integration team, federated infrastructure teams, and other business units to ensure alignment of objectives and seamless integration of infrastructure.
  • Act as a key advisor to leadership on infrastructure governance, security, and operational continuity during MA&D.
  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to address integration challenges and deliver high-quality outcomes.

6. Workforce and Resource Integration
  • Oversee resource (employee) integration, ensuring alignment of organizational structures, roles, and responsibilities across merged or divested entities.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to onboard, train, and align employees with the organization's goals, technology platforms, and governance frameworks.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that values diversity, promotes innovation, and supports professional development.

7. Vendor and Service Management
  • Manage vendor relationships and service delivery to support infrastructure integration and operational continuity.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure vendors meet performance expectations during MA&D activities.
  • Broker services within IT and with external vendors to align with market integration objectives.

8. Change Management
  • Design and implement communication, process, and educational plans to mitigate disruption during MA&D activities.
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions for both infrastructure and personnel.
  • Identify and address obstacles to change, fostering employee buy-in and engagement.

9. Financial Oversight
  • Develop and manage IT budgets for MA&D activities, ensuring cost-effective solutions and alignment with financial goals.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement improvements to optimize integration outcomes.
  • Provide input on financial parameters that drive service costs during infrastructure transitions.

Skills, Education and Knowledge Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.

Strategic and Technical Expertise
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud management, network architecture, and distributed systems to support integration or divestiture.
  • Expertise in enterprise IT governance, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation during MA&D.

Governance and Security
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks, security protocols, and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX compliance).
  • Ability to establish and enforce accountability measures for infrastructure management during MA&D.

Leadership and Communication
  • Strong leadership skills to guide teams through complex transitions and foster collaboration across stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders and align them with market integration goals.

Operational and Change Management
  • Expertise in operational continuity, disaster recovery, and resilience planning for IT infrastructure.
  • Solid change management skills to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of integrated systems.

Workforce and Vendor Management
  • Proven ability to align workforce structures and foster employee engagement during MA&D activities.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing vendor relationships to deliver high-quality outcomes.
