About this Role:
The Senior Director of Implementations is responsible for the successful delivery of Conduent's Government Health Services (GHS) Medicaid implementation portfolio. This role provides strategic leadership across a portfolio of complex, multi-year Medicaid, healthcare, and government technology programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and client expectations.
The Senior Director serves as the primary implementation leader for assigned Medicaid clients and products, driving alignment across Business, Technology, Product, Infrastructure, Operations, and Client leadership teams. The role is accountable for implementation governance, risk management, financial performance, resource planning, and executive stakeholder engagement while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and delivery excellence.
Responsibilities:
Lead a portfolio of Medicaid implementation programs, including system modernization, product deployments, regulatory mandates, client enhancements, and new business implementations from contract signature through steady-state operations.

Establish implementation strategies, delivery roadmaps, and governance frameworks that support client commitments and business objectives.
Drive execution consistency through standardized project management practices, stage gates, and delivery methodologies.
Provide executive oversight for large-scale implementation efforts across GHS by monitoring project health, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and quality metrics.
Lead escalation management and resolution of cross-functional delivery challenges.
Can coordinate major production issues, lead war rooms, establish action plans, and drive accountability during times of crisis / escalation.
Has a working understanding of system architecture, integrations, release management, defect remediation, testing strategy, and production support with an ability to drive execution across development, QA, DevOps, and operations.
Facilitate executive steering committees, governance reviews, and program status discussions.
Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Support proposal, transition, and contract expansion activities as a delivery subject matter expert.
Partner with finance and business leadership to improve visibility into project costs, revenue, and margin impacts.
Ensure proactive identification and management of risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes.
Lead implementation recovery efforts for at-risk programs and ensure corrective action plans are executed.
Build a high-performing implementation organization focused on accountability, execution discipline, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving change through influence and action.
Uses metrics such as claims inventory, defect trends, payment cycle performance, provider impacts, SLAs, and federal reporting status to lead conversations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale Medicaid, or similar, technology implementations.
- Demonstrated experience leading Medicaid, healthcare payer, MMIS, eligibility, provider, claims, pharmacy, or government modernization initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage large portfolios, executive stakeholders, complex budgets, and geographically distributed teams.
- Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, MES, MITA, Lean Six Sigma, or related certifications preferred.

Pay Transparency:

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $181,000 to $210,000.
