Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Executive Compensation Analyst is responsible for the design support, modeling, governance, and administration of executive compensation programs. This role provides end-to-end ownership of executive compensation analysis and SEC disclosure processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and shareholder expectations.
Operating as a senior individual contributor, this role partners closely with senior leadership, HR, Finance, Legal, and external advisors (e.g., Mercer) to deliver competitive, data-driven, and compliant compensation outcomes. The role serves as a key expert in executive compensation, balancing analytical rigor, governance, and execution.

Job Responsibilities

Executive Compensation Design & Analysis
  • Support the design and ongoing refinement of executive compensation programs, including base salary, annual incentive plans (AIP), and long-term incentives (LTI)
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to evaluate pay-for-performance alignment, incentive plan outcomes, and compensation scenarios
  • Analyze performance metrics, payout curves, and plan effectiveness to inform compensation decisions
  • Lead market benchmarking and peer group analysis to ensure competitive and defensible executive pay positioning
Analytics & Financial Modeling
  • Develop and maintain executive compensation models tied to financial and operational performance metrics
  • Perform scenario modeling for executive compensation decisions, including incentive payouts, equity outcomes, and plan design changes
  • Support equity plan administration, including share reserve forecasting and usage tracking
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights to support executive and Compensation Committee decision-making
    Governance, Compliance & SEC Disclosure
    • Own the preparation, review, and delivery of executive compensation disclosures, including proxy/CD&A, in partnership with Legal and external advisors

    • Ensure executive compensation programs comply with all applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, IRS, Dodd-Frank)
    • Validate the accuracy and completeness of all executive compensation data used in regulatory filings and disclosures
    • Maintain strong controls, documentation, and audit-ready processes for executive compensation programs
    • Monitor regulatory developments and emerging disclosure requirements, advising on implications
    Compensation Committee & Stakeholder Support
    • Support Compensation Committee processes, including developing materials, validating data, and contributing to executive compensation recommendations
    • Partner with senior leadership, HR, Finance, and Legal to align compensation programs with business objectives and governance standards
    • Collaborate with external advisors on benchmarking, disclosure, and program design support
    • Provide clear, concise, and data-driven insights to support executive-level discussions and decisions
    Communication & Program Execution
    • Support communication and rollout of executive compensation programs, including development of materials and guidance for stakeholders
    • Assist in educating stakeholders on compensation structures, performance metrics, and outcomes
    • Respond to executive and stakeholder inquiries with accurate, thoughtful analysis
    • Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data, feedback, and market trends
    Skills & Expertise
    • Strong knowledge of executive compensation programs, including AIP and LTI structures (e.g., equity, performance shares, stock options)
    • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills (Excel-heavy, scenario modeling)
    • Direct experience owning or heavily supporting SEC proxy/CD&A preparation, ideally in partnership with external advisors
    • Strong understanding of executive compensation governance, regulatory requirements, and disclosure practices
    • Experience with market benchmarking and peer group analysis
    • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
    • High attention to detail with strong accuracy and confidentiality
    • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred

    Experience

    • Typically requires 5+ years of related work experience
