United by a shared sense of duty and deep belief in the power of innovation, Red Cell is developing powerful tools and solutions to address our Nation’s most pressing problems.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement robust application frontends and services to process and navigate complex data using the latest technologies.
  • Engage with product managers, designers, and software engineers to gather requirements and translate them into intuitive and visually appealing UI/UX implementations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain websites for our incubation companies using Webflow and WordPress.
  • Create responsive, mobile-friendly UX and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience as a hands-on coder, capable of building the founding codebase and setting technical direction.
  • Willingness to learn new, on-the-job technologies and skillsets to ensure successful outcomes for our startup companies.
  • Experience in front-end technologies including frameworks and libraries such as Typescript, JavaScript, React, Next.JS with an understanding of front-end development principles and best practices. Proven capability in developing responsive, scalable frontends and APIs.
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools.
  • Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and experience with database design and optimization.
  • Proven experience in building and managing sites with Webflow and WordPress. Skilled with Webflow’s Designer, CMS, and interactions.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web standards.
  • Ability to implement animations and large graphics in a performant, responsive manner, ensuring smooth user experiences across devices and browsers.
  • Knowledge of best practices for security and compliance with the ability to implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data.

Bonus Points:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization
  • Strong interest in defending against cyber threats, improving the quality of healthcare, and protecting national security interests

You Might Thrive in This Role If You:

  • Excel at building maintainable backend infrastructure and user-facing products.
  • Have a track record of shipping high-quality software under tight deadlines
  • Are passionate about creating simple and intuitive user experiences that resonate with users
  • Enjoy using AI tools to accelerate development and are passionate about experimenting with new technologies.
