Responsibilities
  • Independently execute our more advanced and higher-stakes SEO and GEO work across client sites, with minimal direction
  • Lead complex analysis: technical audits, diagnostics, and competitive and AI-answer research, and turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Deliver polished, thoroughly QA'd work, checking your own recommendations, site changes, and reports for accuracy before they ship
  • Conduct keyword and prompt research, plus competitor analysis, and build the content and roadmap inputs that guide client work
  • Implement and troubleshoot structured data and content optimizations that improve visibility in both traditional search and AI-generated answers
  • Build and interpret performance reports in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and Peec AI, turning data into insights and recommendations, not just surfacing changes
  • Track and analyze AI search visibility (citations, share of voice, and AI-referral traffic) and recommend actions to improve it
  • Join client calls or contribute to client-facing deliverables on an as-needed basis
  • Help set execution standards, document processes and playbooks, and mentor Analysts on the craft, sharing best practices and hands-on guidance
  • Manage multiple client workstreams independently, hitting deadlines and communicating progress clearly
  • Partner with content and development teams to get recommendations implemented cleanly and on time
  • Stay ahead of SEO and GEO developments and bring new ideas and tactics to the team
Required Skills
  • 3-5 years of hands-on SEO experience, including meaningful GEO or AI search work
  • Deep command of on-page and technical SEO (crawling, indexing, rendering, structured data, site architecture, and internal linking), with the ability to diagnose issues independently
  • Strong experience with Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Peec AI or similar AI tracking tools
  • The ability to turn data into clear insights and actionable recommendations, not just reporting
  • A strong understanding of how AI search engines surface, rank, and cite content, and how to influence it
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction and own the quality of your work
  • Sharp attention to detail and a QA mindset
  • Comfort communicating with clients and stakeholders as needed
  • Ability to juggle multiple client workstreams and deadlines in a remote setting
  • Comfort using LLMs as a tool to speed up and improve your work
  • Comfort working in HTML, including implementing structured data (familiarity with CSS and JavaScript a plus)
  • Experience using Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
Suggested Skills
  • Experience working in an agency environment
  • Experience with eCommerce, Fintech, or SaaS clients
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of other SEOs
  • Some client-facing or presentation experience
  • Familiarity with a CMS like WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow
  • Experience with a project management tool like Basecamp or Productive

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 DOE.

Please plan for the following during the hiring process:

  1. Your resume
  2. A short introduction/cover letter
  3. What would the Schema Person Markup for Michael Scott (from The Office) look like using JSON-LD? Please create a unique schema markup using JSON-LD for the person mentioned above.
  4. A brief GEO/SEO skills test after your second interview. It's short and low-pressure.
