About Solutions & Services

Solutions & Services sits at the intersection of our customers, our technology, and how Proscia delivers value. We connect the customer journey from early discovery and solution design through implementation and go-live, working closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Technical Support, and Operations.

Our goal is to make implementations more predictable and easier to scale: understand customer needs early, use proven approaches where possible, execute with strong technical discipline, surface risks quickly, and turn what we learn from each deployment into a better experience for the next customer.

Role Overview

The Senior Implementation Engineer is a hands-on technical delivery role responsible for implementing Proscia’s digital pathology solutions for customers. This person owns the technical implementation from readiness through go-live stabilization and works closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, customers, Product, Engineering, and Technical Support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical implementation of customer deployments, from readiness and installation through configuration, integration, testing, acceptance, and go-live stabilization.
  • Work with Solution Architects to turn approved solution designs into technical configurations that meet customer requirements and Proscia standards.
  • Work with Project Managers to plan technical work, manage customer prerequisites and dependencies, and keep technical milestones on track.
  • Configure and deploy customer environments across application, infrastructure, networking, storage, identity, and integration components.
  • Implement and troubleshoot integrations across customer infrastructure, networks, storage platforms, identity systems, and upstream/downstream systems.
  • Execute and validate data migrations, imports, and transfers when needed, and verify data completeness and integrity before cutover.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across application, infrastructure, networking, storage, and integration layers.
  • Identify technical risks and blockers early, explain their impact, and work with the right teams to resolve them.
  • Own technical readiness for customer testing, validation, acceptance, go-live, and transition to Technical Support.
  • Develop scripts, automation, and reusable deployment tools using Git, peer review, testing, and established SDLC and change-management practices.
  • Capture recurring deployment issues, product gaps, and lessons learned, and share them with Product, Engineering, and the implementation team.
  • Mentor Implementation Engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team.
  • Improve deployment standards, documentation, and working practices so the team can deliver consistently across customers.

Experience & Technical Requirements

Technical Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, including command-line operations and system troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of web-based application architectures, networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, certificates, firewalls/proxies, identity/SSO, RBAC, and enterprise security fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS and/or Azure, including compute, storage, identity, databases, and networking.
  • Experience with enterprise storage technologies such as AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, NFS, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to query, validate, and troubleshoot data during implementations, integrations, and migrations.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting containerized applications using Docker and/or Kubernetes in enterprise or production environments.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise integrations, including REST APIs and file-based interfaces. Experience with healthcare or laboratory environments such as LIS, HL7/FHIR, clinical imaging, scanners, DICOM, or digital pathology workflows is preferred.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications with identity providers, storage systems, network infrastructure, and upstream/downstream clinical or business systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems across application, infrastructure, networking, storage, and integration layers.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code or configuration management tools such as Terraform or Ansible is preferred.

Professional Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise IT, technical implementation, solutions engineering, professional services, or related roles.
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical implementations, make sound technical decisions, manage risk, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions to engineers, IT teams, architects, and senior customer stakeholders.
  • Ability to connect technical decisions to customer workflows, implementation outcomes, and long-term supportability.
  • Experience handling technical responsibilities across multiple customer projects while maintaining quality and follow-through.
  • Takes ownership, raises risks early, improves how the team works, and follows issues through to resolution.

Beyond Just Work
