Progressive Leasing is a leading provider of in-store and e-commerce lease-to-own solutions. With more than 20 years in FinTech, we’ve grown from start-up to industry leader by innovating, simplifying, and valuing people. We are a subsidiary of PROG Holdings (NYSE: PRG), a FinTech holding company with three business segments: Progressive Leasing, Purchasing Power (a leading employee purchase program for consumer products and services using payroll deduction), and Four, a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) platform.

We are currently hiring a Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved!

This role is a work from home position and can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental US or in our corporate office in Draper, Utah.

Employee Value Proposition (EVP): PROG is dedicated to providing people with opportunity; opportunity for inclusive collaboration, opportunity for innovation, and opportunity for development.

WE ARE: A sales organization that is dedicated to developing and executing winning sales and marketing strategies in a fun and engaging environment. We provide our employees with challenging opportunities where passion, tenacity, innovation and diligence are rewarded. We want your passion, your creativity and your mastery in rallying support for the ideas that will advance our initiatives. With your broad strategic expertise, you will plan, develop and implement highly effective sales, marketing and operational strategies, solutions and initiatives to drive market share and sell-through for our clients.

YOU ARE: An Infrastructure Systems Engineer, who will be a primary operational owner of our infrastructure systems — handling day-to-day support, incident response, change execution, and maintenance across the platform stack. Operational excellence is the foundation of this role, not a secondary responsibility. From that foundation, you'll also contribute to the automation, tooling, and architectural work that gradually shifts the team toward a less reactive future.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Design, operate, and support AWS-based infrastructure across a multi-account environment, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational clarity

  • Support and evolve our EKS/Kubernetes platform — clusters, underlying AWS infrastructure, networking integrations, and shared platform components

  • Contribute to and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, including shared modules and production repositories

  • Work across DNS, DHCP, routing, load balancing, and WAF technologies (Imperva primary; broad understanding of AWS ALB/NLB) to support application traffic and secure access patterns

  • Participate in Active Directory architecture, administration, and integration with cloud and platform services

  • Share ownership of SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management — a core responsibility of the Infrastructure Operations group

  • Build automation and tooling in Bash, PowerShell, or similar to streamline provisioning, configuration, and operational workflows

  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate troubleshooting, draft and improve runbooks, and reduce repetitive operational overhead — with a practical focus on where AI adds real value in day-to-day infrastructure work

  • Collaborate with application, security, and network teams using GitOps-style workflows (GitHub, CI pipelines, change review)

  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule and CAB reviews for significant infrastructure changes

  • Drive new architecture, expansion, and modernization efforts alongside ownership of existing systems

YOU'LL BRING:

  • Hands-on experience with core infrastructure: DNS, DHCP, routing, load balancing, and Linux/Windows operating systems and services

  • Strong working knowledge of AWS, including multi-account environments

  • Practical experience with Terraform and IaC principles, including contributing to shared repositories

  • Experience supporting Kubernetes/EKS or comparable container platforms

  • Comfort using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar) to accelerate infrastructure work — writing scripts, diagnosing issues, or exploring unfamiliar systems

  • Familiarity with WAF and traffic management concepts (Imperva a strong plus)

  • Experience designing, administering, and integrating Active Directory environments

  • Scripting fluency in Bash, PowerShell, or similar — building one-off tooling, bootstrap automation, and deployment workflows

  • Comfort operating in production with shared ownership, change management, and on-call responsibility

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across platform, network, security, and application teams

  • AI‑enabled tools are already part of how work gets done across our organization, and their use will continue to expand over time. We value people who are curious, adaptable, and open to learning as roles and workflows evolve.

WE OFFER:

  • Competitive Compensation + Bonus Potential

  • Full Health Benefits; Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance + Paid Parental Leave

  • Company Matched 401k

  • Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays + Paid Volunteer Time

  • Diversity Alliance Resource Groups

  • Employee Stock Purchase Program

  • Tuition Reimbursement

  • Charitable Gift Matching

  • Job Required Equipment & Services Will Be Provided
