About the role
The IT Product organization is seeking a Sr. IT Product Manager to lead as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Product & Pricing teams including playing a lead role in NPI intake, roadmap planning, operationalizing product sales through technology, and establishing a repeatable NPI-IT intake process. Additionally, the role will be responsible for launching and maintaining an engagement model between IT and the Product and Pricing teams to strengthen the alignment of product release goals, sales enablement, and engineering capacity.
Responsibilities:
  • Operates as the trusted partner to both the business (Product and Pricing teams) and IT Enterprise Applications (Engineering team) in managing product strategy, roadmap prioritization, tradeoffs, and overall ownership of the IT Product and Pricing portfolio.
  • Drive the following product outcomes working across all business and technical partners:
    • Ensure high sales velocity enabling scalable product configuration and pricing strategy execution in sales systems
    • Champion transition to adoption of master data, and attribute/rule-based models for product and pricing extensibility, minimizing bespoke development, and accelerating business releases.
    • Drive efficiency and reduce friction in the Opportunity-to-Cash process while ensuring solutions are fit for high growth, complexity, and enterprise-level governance
  • Ensure your product users and their use cases are considered working with Enterprise Architecture and partner product teams collaborating on requirements for product and pricing systems (product master, pricing engine, etc.).
  • Operates using a Product Led Growth (PLG) model, partnering with stakeholders to ensure IT teams are focused on the highest priority, most impactful, work.
  • Partners with the business to understand objectives and goals to drive outcomes connecting people, processes, and systems.
  • Leads communication between the business and engineering teams to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Communicates business objectives and requirements (BRDs) to engineering and scrum teams to ensure scope is understood and works with the business to resolve any ambiguities.
  • Stays on top of industry trends, bringing learnings and new solutions ideas to the stakeholder team.
  • Leads and nurtures platform vendor relationships including influencing and understanding vendors' product roadmap and shares recommendations to match the overall business vision and goals.
  • Works with IT leadership to strengthen success measures and team performance.
  • Collaborates with peer IT product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, data-driven decisions, and growth.
  • Adheres to and instills the IT product led growth (PLG) operating model.
  • Leads weekly roadmap meetings to collaborate on business priorities and roadmap placement and works with the appropriate teams to manage risks and capacity related issues.
  • Define, prioritize, and groom the product and pricing backlog working with cross-functional business partners and the scrum team.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge, and experience:
  • BS/BA in Business Administration or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience with including complex knowledge and deep understanding of sales operations - specifically within the software sales lifecycle (Opportunity to Quote) including the sales journey from lead to customer.
  • Experience working in a Product Led Growth (PLG) operating model and Agile framework.
  • Experience with GTM platforms such as Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, Revenue Cloud), price systems (Pros, Vendavo Pricefx, etc), and other sales technologies are required.
  • Personable and approachable with the ability to navigate, sometimes challenging, conversations and decisions between cross functional teams.
  • Strong sense of urgency, ability to manage priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high growth, and ambiguous environment.
  • Strong ability to communicate with executive leadership, think on a strategic level, and communicate the strategy across the various product teams.
  • Highly organized and able to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, and project manage multiple concurrent projects with varying internal stakeholders and demands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in a global fragmented environment.
