Job Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager leads project engagements to achieve defined scopes, managing schedules, teams, and communication to ensure timely, budgeted execution. This role involves acting as the single point of contact for issues or escalations, executing change requests, and conducting project close activities to confirm deliverables. The ideal candidate will organize and facilitate project and scrum events, coach team members on roles and responsibilities, and utilize project management tools to ensure accuracy and success throughout the project lifecycle.
This position is required to report to our Austin, TX office or Somerset, NJ office on a hybrid structure.

Role Description

  • Lead project engagements to achieve the scope as described in Statements of Work.

  • Conduct project kick-offs and create project schedules to ensure timely and budgeted execution.

  • Assemble and coordinate the project team, establishing roles and responsibilities.

  • Communicate customer status updates, including action items, issues, risks, and develop mitigation plans.

  • Execute change requests to project scope, schedule, and/or cost as needed.

  • Act as the single point of contact for any issues or escalations throughout the project.

  • Conduct project close activities to confirm deliverables were achieved.

  • Organize and facilitate project and scrum events.

  • Coach and mentor all parties on their roles and responsibilities related to a project.

  • Manage and ensure accuracy for projects using project management tools such as Jira, DevOps, and ASANA.

Skill Level Requirements

  • The ability to effectively utilize applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to enhance productivity and perform various tasks efficiently - Intermediate

  • Ability to oversee and direct projects to completion, ensuring goals are met, resources are utilized efficiently, and stakeholders are satisfied - Intermediate

  • Expertise in various project management frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum, to effectively plan, execute, and close projects - Intermediate

  • Proficiency in facilitating Agile Scrum practices, guiding teams through the Scrum framework to ensure efficient and successful project delivery - Intermediate

  • Competence in utilizing tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, or DevOps to plan, track, and manage project progress and resources - Intermediate

  • Familiarity with the operational mechanisms, hierarchical setup, and the overall framework of SHI, enabling effective navigation and utilization of internal processes - Intermediate

Other Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required

  • 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing project management role required

  • 5+ years of experience in IT technical project management

  • 5+ years of experience in an agile scrum, Jira, Asana, hybrid environment preferred

  • PMP Certification

  • Ability to travel 10%

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
