Job Title: Senior/Lead Character Concept Artist (Stylized)

Department: Art Design Dept. 1
Art Style: Stylized (Similar to Valorant, Fortnite, Overwatch)
Location: Singapore, North America ( On Site)

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Art Managers, and Directors to define and establish the character art style, developing character concept design templates and style guides.

  • Work closely with 3D character artists, animators, and VFX artists to ensure the successful implementation of designs into the game.

  • Utilize the game engine editor (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) to adjust and finalize the in-game look and feel of characters.

  • Create high-quality character concept designs as part of the core design tasks.

  • Review, critique, and provide clear feedback on character designs submitted by outsourcing partners/vendors, guiding them to meet quality and style standards.

  • Mentor junior artists by creating training materials, sharing design experience, and fostering a collaborative and creative team environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in character concept art, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality stylized character designs.

  • Proven experience leading design initiatives or a small team is highly preferred.

  • Strong fundamental art skills, including a deep understanding of anatomy, form, color theory, and composition.

  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately interpret project needs and deliver high-quality results efficiently.

  • A strong sense of responsibility, a high level of commitment, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team to achieve shared goals.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Photoshop, ZBrush).

  • A strong capacity for learning, with a proactive attitude toward researching and adopting new tools, techniques, and technologies.

  • A genuine passion for gaming and a keen eye for player experience, actively contributing ideas to improve the game.
