If you are passionate about modernizing enterprise operating systems and virtualization, this is an exceptional opportunity to drive meaningful transformation at scale. We are seeking a Senior Manager of Enterprise Operating System Platforms to lead global Windows, Linux/UNIX, and hypervisor services that power HPE’s enterprise operations. In this role, you will bring two teams together into one cohesive organization, consolidating processes, tools, and technologies while driving modernization, compliance, operational excellence, and AI-enabled automation across critical OS and hypervisor environments. You will lead a high-performing global team with the help of managed service providers to build resilient, secure, scalable, and efficient platform services.

Responsibilities

  • Be at the forefront of modernizing enterprise operating systems and virtualization platforms, including Windows Server, Linux/UNIX, VMware, and HVM.
  • Drive platform standardization, lifecycle health, patch compliance, security hardening, and operational readiness across global infrastructure services.
  • Apply AI-enabled automation, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and intelligent operations to strengthen availability, security, performance, economics, and change management.
  • Partner across infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and best-in-class IT services.
  • Bring two teams together by consolidating processes, tools, and technologies into a single, cohesive operating model.
  • Lead a global, high-impact team responsible for foundational technologies that support enterprise applications and business operations.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep expertise in enterprise Windows Server, Linux/UNIX platforms, and hypervisor ecosystems.
  • Proven experience driving OS lifecycle management, patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, platform hardening, automation, and operational readiness.
  • Strong background in automation, observability, monitoring, configuration management, and AI-assisted operations.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps for complex, global OS and virtualization environments.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, managed service providers, and executive stakeholders.

  • Build a resilient, secure, scalable enterprise OS and hypervisor foundation.
  • Improve reliability, compliance, patch health, vulnerability remediation, and operational consistency.
  • Unify two teams into one operating model with consistent processes, standards, and technologies.
  • Use AI, automation, and analytics to reduce manual effort, improve insights, and strengthen service delivery.

Education:

  • Bachelors' Degree or equivalent work experience, with 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with 4+ years in leadership roles managing enterprise platform or infrastructure services.
