JOB SUMMARY

As Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll work on the Strategic Finance team with a focus on financial performance. You'll own the revenue side of our budget and forecast, build the multi-year models behind our long-range plans, and translate financial data into insight that helps leadership make sharper, faster decisions.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Finance, you'll partner across teams to coordinate the many inputs that feed our financial picture and tie them together into a clear narrative of where we are and where we're headed. It's a role for someone who's equally comfortable deep in a forecast model and working with leadership to understand their strategic vision. With strong quantitative instincts, investigative rigor, and clear communication, you'll help drive the business forward.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…

  • Developing a deep understanding of how our revenue streams, donor restrictions, expenses, and business rules shape our broader strategy

  • Overseeing the revenue side of the annual budget, monthly actuals reporting, and forecasts, using inputs from Revenue Operations and Accounting

  • Reviewing and pressure-testing Revenue Operations’ bottoms-up revenue forecast by probing assumptions, securing the inputs Finance needs to report, and setting the risk-adjusted revenue figure used for financial planning

  • Building and owning the integrated multi-year financial model as the organization’s single source of truth for long-range planning, integrating revenue, operating expense, and cash and reserves inputs from Strategic Finance, Revenue Operations and the Leadership Team

  • Setting the input requirements, standards, and deadlines that departments follow to feed the multi-year model, ensuring leadership always has a current, coherent long-range picture

  • Leading financial performance analytics, including ROI reporting and ad hoc analyses that inform business decisions

  • Partnering with stakeholders across the organization to shape growth-oriented financial and KPI goals and report on progress

  • Preparing monthly financial results for leadership and supporting preparation for presentations to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee

YOU MUST HAVE…

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in a variety of strategic, analytical, and finance roles

  • A background in finance with an established knowledge of financial concepts, with preferred experience in forecasting, long-range planning, and financial analytics

  • Elite Google and Microsoft Suite skills, specifically Google Sheets and Excel

  • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Looker or similar systems is preferred

  • Systems and tooling adaptability with a demonstrated ability to leverage AI to create workflow efficiencies

  • An ability to own and drive multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously

  • An aptitude for working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Excellent quantitative skills, an ability to shift between granular and high-level analysis, a love for informing data-driven strategy and the skills to distill data into actionable insights

  • A rigorously detail-oriented approach, always triple-checking work, and experience producing exceptional deliverables

YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF…

You’re passionate about accuracy

You double-check your work because you know that accurate data is crucial to operate successfully. You care about the numbers being right and take the time to make sure everything reconciles or is set up to be error-proof.

You’re a problem solver

You’re an inquisitive and critical thinker who will investigate the numbers to comprehend the story behind them. You know how to develop an articulation of an ambiguous problem and roll out solutions, recognizing there are many solutions to the same problem. You find new and effective ways to streamline and create processes to increase efficiency.

You’re a team player

You thrive in a creative, inventive, fast-paced environment, with people who are passionate about their work. You’re excited to work cross-functionally with other departments and enjoy achieving a shared goal. People enjoy working with you because they know you’re reliable.

You’re a great communicator

You can turn data and numbers into effective and compelling messages. You are great at sharing insights; but what you love to do is apply real context to findings so that stakeholders understand what it means for them and also how it impacts our business
