Responsibilities
- Global Events Leadership: Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of global workplace-supported internal events - including hub activations, team onsites, celebrations, employee experiences, and the startup program. Your team also owns the recruiting, management, and support of the Global Site Lead program. As an expert in your field, you bring a deep understanding of cultural and local nuances to ensure events resonate authentically with employees in each region.
- Team Mentorship & Collaboration: Manage and mentor the Global Internal Events Manager. Partner with Workplace Operations teams and site leads worldwide to spark creativity, share best practices, and deliver impactful events across hubs.
- Employee Engagement & ERG Support: Collaborate with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support planning and execution of key cultural events, with focus on prominent identity- and mission-driven observances.
- Communications: Own internal communications for the Places team, ensuring events and initiatives are clearly, consistently, and creatively communicated across multiple formats to maximize visibility, engagement and participation.
- Scalable Frameworks: Establish a global event calendar, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency and high-quality experiences across global hubs. Build operating models that clearly define roles, responsibilities, and cross-functional workflows for event and onsite planning within Places and across the organization.
- Budget & Vendor Management: Own the global events budget, including forecasting, negotiations, and vendor management. Drive creative, cost-effective solutions that maximize impact within constraints.
- Innovation & Design: Experiment with new event formats and scalable models that can be customized regionally while maintaining brand consistency.
- Cross-Functional Partnerships: Build strong relationships with Physical Security, People, Communications, IT, EBC, Executive Admins, and Site Leads to ensure seamless delivery.
- Measurement & Reporting: Track, measure, and report on event effectiveness - capturing engagement, outcomes, and ROI to inform strategy and scale successes globally. Lead post-event retrospectives and QBRs, using feedback to recommend improvements and refine future programs.
- Culture & Hospitality: Ensure events reflect Cloudflare's culture and values while creating inclusive, welcoming, and inspiring experiences. Stay ahead of industry trends to raise the bar for internal events.
- 10+ years of experience in event management, including 5+ years leading global internal events or employee experience programs.
- Proven track record managing creative, large-scale event portfolios across multiple geographies.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing a high-performing team as well as external vendors.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with executives.
- Expertise in budget management and vendor negotiation.
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail, hospitality, and cultural alignment.
- Thrives in an in-office, collaborative environment.
- Ability to travel globally as needed.
