We’re looking for a talented Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join Procore in its journey to revolutionize a historically underserved industry.

As a Senior Manager, Software Engineering at Procore, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and evolve our Procore AI Platform that is bringing the power of AI to the construction industry. We will be expanding our platform and infrastructure to support multiple jurisdictions and geographies. This role places you at the heart of our mission to expand into new regulated and international markets.

This position will report to our SVP of Engineering, Procore AI organization. The position will be a three days per week hybrid role in our Austin office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

This position requires US citizenship to work on FedRAMP-compliant projects. Candidates must be eligible to work on federal government projects requiring FedRAMP authorization.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the strategy, execution, and ongoing operation of Procore AI infrastructure and its expansion across geographic and sovereign zones — delivering the core capabilities to scale horizontally, automate delivery, and meet jurisdictional and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage a high-performing team of software and infrastructure engineers, supporting their professional and technical growth through constructive feedback, performance reviews, and career development support.

  • Lead the design and build-out of infrastructure (AWS and GCP) and repeatable deployment patterns to stand up Procore AI in new geographic and sovereign zones. This includes configuration-driven frameworks that make each new zone faster to launch, and CI/CD improvements that raise developer efficiency and operational maturity across the platform.

  • Partner closely with other Procore AI engineering teams to define integration requirements and accelerate the adoption of new platform features.

  • Drive architectural consistency across zones so new-region launches reuse a common, well-governed foundation rather than one-off builds.

  • Ensure each zone meets its data-residency, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FedRAMP/NIST 800-53, GDPR, regional sovereignty), partnering with security and compliance to achieve and maintain authorizations.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level objectives (SLOs) for the platform's reliability and scalability.

  • Collaborate across engineering and product teams to create infrastructure design documents and clear integration guides for engineering teams.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 8+ years of experience in software development with a solid background in infrastructure, operations, and scalable system architecture.

  • 3+ years of experience managing diverse and geographically dispersed engineering teams, with a demonstrated commitment to leading high-performing teams, driving product deliverables, and supporting professional growth

  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of GCP (primary), Kubernetes, and Terraform. Familiarity with AWS.

  • Proven track record building CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and internal developer platforms that measurably improve delivery speed (e.g., DORA metrics).

  • Experience with Cloud Cost optimization and management.

  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, strategic planning abilities, and excellent communication skills.

  • Proven expertise architecting, operating, and scaling horizontal platforms or shared services using modern distributed-systems patterns, and defining modular, configuration-driven frameworks that reduce developer onboarding and integration time.

Base Pay Range:

This role may also be eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.

This position requires access to technology, software, and data that is controlled or restricted under U.S. law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

For Los Angeles County (unincorporated) Candidates:

Procore will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, in accordance with the requirements of applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, and the California Fair Chance Act.

A criminal history may have a direct, adverse, and negative relationship on the following job duties, potentially resulting in the withdrawal of the conditional offer of employment: 1. appropriately managing, accessing, and handling confidential information including proprietary and trade secret information, as well as accessing Procore's information technology systems and platforms; 2. interacting with and occasionally having unsupervised contact with internal/external customers, stakeholders, and/or colleagues; and 3. exercising sound judgment.
