Steno is growing! We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Operations to join our winning team, which is revolutionizing the court reporting industry every single day. We’re a diverse team from all over the country (and beyond) and we’re crazy about redefining the boundaries of an outdated industry.


In this role, you will be the go-to problem solver for leadership when complex challenges arise. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Operations, you'll take ownership of high-impact initiatives from conception through execution. Your days will involve running strategic assessments, building compelling business cases, and delivering data-driven recommendations that directly influence how the company operates and grows.

On a regular basis you will 

  • Take ambiguous problems and turn them into clear frameworks and action plans, owning initiatives end-to-end—scope them, build the plan, and see them through
  • Run strategic assessments (market entry, vendor evaluations, competitive analysis) and deliver recommendations leadership can act on
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that span Sales, Operations, Product, and RevOps, keeping teams aligned and accountable while becoming the trusted expert on business best practices across the organization
  • Design processes and workflows that scale with a growing business
  • Build fluency in our data—uncover insights that shape decisions and surface trends before anyone asks
  • Use storytelling to communicate business insights and your recommendations by pulling, structuring, and presenting data to diverse audiences
  • Build dashboards that tell a clear story about how the business is performing and support teams to make the right decisions
  • Translate complex data into insights non-technical colleagues can act on


You’re gonna crush it if

  • You have 5-7+ years in consulting and strategy & ops (preferably with a high-growth startup)
  • You have strong SQL skills and are comfortable with BI tools (Looker, Tableau) and Python or similar
  • You have a track record building dashboards and translating data into executive-ready insights
  • You have sharp structured thinking—you break down ambiguous problems into clear frameworks
  • You have experience leading cross-functional projects and managing senior stakeholders
  • You're tech-fluent—comfortable navigating and optimizing operational systems
  • You have a bias for action; you ship, not just recommend


Bonus Points if 

  • You have experience at a top-tier consulting firm or high-growth startup
  • You have experience with Snowflake or modern data stack (dbt, Fivetran)
  • You have a background in legal tech, professional services, or marketplace businesses

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary - $120,000 - $150,000

You’ll help ensure that our production, billing, provider operations, customer success, and remote services teams are running smoothly, and delivering high-quality legal services.
