RTX is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Workforce Intelligence (Operational Workforce Planning Data Lead) to join our team.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and implement data architecture solutions to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational data needs.
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and middleware platforms, ensuring robust data integration and efficient storage solutions.
- Manage secure data transfers using SFTP protocols while ensuring compliance with company and industry data protection standards.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain data controls to ensure the integrity and reliability of data across systems and workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements, translating them into actionable technical solutions.
- Lead project management efforts for data-related initiatives, including project planning, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate with business and IT teams to ensure smooth project delivery, addressing risks and dependencies proactively.
- Perform data modeling, schema design, and ETL/ELT development to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Analyze and resolve data-related technical issues, ensuring system performance and scalability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture designs, processes, governance policies, and integrations.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, middleware, and cloud platforms to recommend and implement improvements.
- [Nice-to-Have] Work on the integration of large data sets with enterprise performance management (EPM) tools like Workday Adaptive Planning, streamlining financial and operational planning processes.
- Travel up to 5%.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
- Prior experience as a Data Architect or Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Snowflake and data integration technologies.
- Hands-on experience with middleware systems for data exchange and process integration.
- Prior experience in SFTP protocols for secure file transfer and data processing.
- Prior experience implementing and managing data governance frameworks and data quality controls.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and best practices for data security and privacy.
- Project Management skills, including leading projects, planning, and delivering within deadlines.
- Prior experience utilizing problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, data processing workflows, and high-volume data environments.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification in Snowflake or relevant cloud data services.
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with API integrations and microservices architecture.
- Experience integrating large data sets with enterprise performance management tools like Workday Adaptive Planning or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Location
- Remote – This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
