POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Senior Marketing & Communications Coordinator plays a key role in how we communicate, align, and move the Energy business forward. You’ll work across all levels of the organization—including C-Suite, Vice Presidents, Project Executives, and Field Superintendents—to help connect priorities, shape messaging, and drive success.

You’ll sit at the center of Strategy, Marketing, and Communications—operating as a well-rounded generalist and connector—someone who can step into different types of work, bring people together, and help move operational priorities forward. This includes coordinating multi-part campaign deliverables, building presentations, conducting research, and ghostwriting communications.

You’ll contribute to work across a wide range of topics—from safety campaigns and operational initiatives to leadership meetings—giving you exposure to different parts of the business and the opportunity to build a well-rounded skillset. Over time, you’ll build a strong understanding of the Energy business and become a trusted partner in ensuring clear, consistent, and high-quality communication. You’ll do this as part of a highly collaborative SMC team where responsibilities are shared, and team members support one another to deliver strong outcomes.

Success in this role comes from being proactive, asking thoughtful questions, working through ambiguity, and coordinating with people across the business (including field teams) to gather information and keep work moving. This is a highly interactive role, best suited for someone who enjoys working with people and building relationships across teams.

Your work will support America’s #1 EPC as we build utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects across the country—helping power communities while creating meaningful careers on our jobsites, supporting families, and keeping our people safe.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build compelling, creative PowerPoint presentation decks that help leaders communicate strategic and operational priorities, tell the story, and drive alignment

  • Ghostwrite communications, write narratives, and craft messaging that aligns with Moss’ brand voice—tailor content to fit varying internal and external audiences

  • Write communications briefs, coordinate timelines, gather inputs, and follow through—ensuring cross functional campaign deliverables come together smoothly

  • Conduct research on policy, market, and industry topics, then turn findings into clear talking points, infographic fact sheets, and executive-ready materials

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to draft talking points and 1-pagers: ask thoughtful questions that help connect the dots

  • Occasionally support client-facing presentations and print collateral that help win new work and strengthen relationships with current client partners (project factsheets, resumes, narratives, org charts, etc)

  • Partner closely with Energy leaders to understand strategic priorities, anticipate needs, and help translate them into effective internal and external communications

  • Work horizontally across SMC functions (Strategy, Communications, Creative Services, Pursuits, and Events) and vertically with leaders at all levels to align messaging and deliver results

  • Leverage tools like AI to improve speed, quality, and efficiency

  • Manage confidential information appropriately in a fast-paced environment

  • Maintain flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends to meet project deadlines

  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, Economics, Business Strategy, or related field

  • 2–6 years of relevant experience

  • Strong PowerPoint slide creation skills – affinity for weaving together words, data, and photos to tell impactful stories (this role is presentation-heavy)

  • Ability to synthesize information, think strategically, and communicate clearly

  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills

  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Eye for visual design and graphic design skills (or willingness to learn)

  • Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus (or willingness to learn)

  • Experience operating across cross functional teams (nice to have)

  • A well-rounded, adaptable generalist who enjoys variety and thrives in roles that require both strategic thinking and practical execution—you might be supporting a safety initiative one day and a company-wide town hall webcast presentation the next

  • Enjoys building relationships and engaging with stakeholders at all levels—including senior C-Suite leadership and jobsite field teams

  • Comfortable working through ambiguity—able to take direction, fill in gaps, and move work forward without having complete information

  • Ability to research unfamiliar topics, synthesize information, and turn it into clear, useful content

  • Strong project management and organizational skills: able to use good judgement to prioritize effectively and stay organized while managing multiple deliverables

  • Takes initiative with a bias for action—steps in, works through challenges, and finds ways to move work forward

  • Able to coordinate across multiple groups: comfortable owning work and following through in a fast-paced environment. Work hard, be nice, have fun!

  • Strong attention to detail, especially in presentations and written materials

  • Brings energy, curiosity, and a willingness to step in and help where needed

  • Open to learning new technologies and ways of working
