Senior Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Engineer, you are responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network solutions across the organization. This role owns complex network initiatives, leads Tier-3 troubleshooting in live production environments, and partners closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable network services. A strong background in solving complex issues in large-scale, business-critical networks is required.

What You Will Do

  • You’ll create and own network design specifications and implementation plans
  • You’ll install, configure, and deploy network solutions for projects and technology enhancements across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, WiFi, and security platforms
  • You’ll lead Tier-3 troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex production network issues
  • You’ll participate in an on-call rotation and provide escalation support during after-hours incidents and change windows as needed
  • You’ll maintain patch levels, configuration management, and compliance through automation and vendor-specific tools
  • You’ll partner with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities or assist with documenting accepted risk and false positives
  • You’ll assess and understand business unit network architectures and device configurations
  • You’ll collaborate with and support DevOps and adjacent infrastructure teams
  • You’ll mentor junior engineers and contribute to operational best practices
  • You’ll maintain strong technical relationships with key manufacturers and technology partners

What You Will Need

  • To thrive in this role, you have 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise IP networks
  • You have proven experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and network security in a multi-vendor environment (Cisco, F5, Aruba, ISE/DNA, SD-WAN technologies, etc.)
  • You have strong knowledge of IP routing and related technologies, including IPsec, DNS, VoIP, QoS, MPLS, and SD-WAN architectures
  • You have experience with network automation and scripting using tools such as Ansible, Python, or PowerShell
  • Familiarity with server virtualization, cloud networking, or network modeling practices is a plus
  • You can prioritize workload, respond effectively to change, and operate in an Agile/Scrum-driven environment
  • Active Cisco certifications (CCNP or CCIE) or equivalent vendor certifications and training are a plus
