STV is seeking an OpenRoads Designer (ORD) Specialist for our Water Group to provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship in Water-Wastewater design for our offices across the nation. The ideal candidate will have the technical acumen and skills to facilitate smooth design, coordination, and construction workflows while optimizing project quality and productivity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead development and coordination of 3D utility models in OpenRoads, including complex vertical geometry, utility crossings, and conflict resolution with roadway and drainage elements.

  • Collaborate with technical and design teams to develop, implement, and maintain company-wide BIM standards, procedures, and protocols.

  • Interface directly with clients and STV engineers to define CAD deliverables, ensuring projects are executed as per agreed-upon CAD protocols.

  • Establish and maintain model-driven plan and profile sheets using OpenRoads drawing and sheet models, ensuring consistency throughout design revisions.

  • Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior designers and EITs in ORD workflows and standards.

  • Troubleshoot complex OpenRoads modeling and sheet production issues, providing solutions that balance software capability, standards compliance, and project schedules.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of AEC industry experience with a strong focus on Microstation/ORD utility relocation design.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to participate in cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to solve problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision.

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously under aggressive timelines.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Preferred but not Required:

  • Professional Bentley ORD certifications.

  • Understanding of construction scheduling and estimating.

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Revit.

Compensation Range:

$83,978.91 - $95,975.90
