About Reserv

Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating cutting-edge AI and automation technology to bring efficiency and simplicity to claims. Founded by insurtech veterans with deep experience in SaaS and digital claims, Reserv is venture-backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures and began operations in May 2022. We are focused on automating highly manual tasks to tackle long-standing problems in claims and set a new standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters alike. We have ambitious (but attainable!) goals and need people who can work in an evolving environment. If building a leading TPA and the prospect of tackling the long-standing challenges of the claims role sounds exciting, we can't wait to meet you.

Location Requirement

Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment. We are unable to hire candidates residing in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior People Operations Business Partner to serve as a trusted strategic partner across our business, with a primary focus on Technology and Operations — while also supporting other functions, including Claims, as business needs evolve. This role sits at the intersection of people strategy and business execution — someone who can build, advise, and deliver independently while seamlessly integrating into our existing HR structure and team.

You will work closely with leaders across the organization to drive people programs that are both pragmatic and forward-thinking. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment and knows how to earn the trust of technical and operationally minded leaders.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner across business functions — including Technology, Operations, and Claims when needed — advising leadership on all people-related matters, including succession planning, talent development, and employee relations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand their goals and proactively align people strategies to drive outcomes
  • Lead and support performance management cycles, including goal-setting, reviews, and calibrations
  • Partner to design, refine, and implement compensation frameworks and leveling structures that are competitive, equitable, and scalable — across a range of functions and geographies
  • Identify trends using people data and metrics; translate insights into actionable recommendations for leaders
  • Drive change management efforts as the business evolves, ensuring employees and managers are supported through transitions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver cohesive, integrated people programs
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices across all supported teams
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy while aligning to the broader People Operations strategy, processes, and standards

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, with significant time spent supporting business functions with complex people needs
  • Demonstrated experience developing or contributing to compensation structures, job architecture, or leveling frameworks — particularly for technical roles
  • Deep understanding of people dynamics, culture, and talent challenges across diverse business functions
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives from concept to completion without heavy oversight
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people strategy to business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills — comfortable presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders when needed
  • Experience working within an established HR structure and adapting to existing systems, tools, and processes
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset — you add to the culture of the People team, not just the business units you support

Nice to Have

  • SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or other relevant HR certification
  • Experience in a scaling or high-growth environment
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Workday, Rippling, BambooHR, etc.)

Benefits

  • Generous health-insurance package with nationwide coverage, vision, & dental
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Competitive PTO policy – we want our employees fresh, healthy, happy, and energized!
  • Generous family leave policy after 8 months of continuous work
  • Work from anywhere to facilitate your work life balance
  • Apple laptop, large second monitor, and other quality-of-life equipment you may want. Technology is something that should make your life easier, not harder!
