This is a remote position.

The Senior PeopleSoft FSCM Upgrade Specialist will support the Texas Health and Human Services Commission on the PeopleSoft FSCM upgrade and ERP environment management project. This role is responsible for upgrading PeopleSoft FSCM on Linux and Oracle platforms while building, configuring, and maintaining multiple environments. The specialist will work closely with the database administrator to coordinate environment activities across simultaneous ERP implementation and upgrade efforts. This position requires advanced troubleshooting and scripting expertise to support a complex, multi-environment PeopleSoft landscape. Work outside standard business hours may be required depending on project activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Upgrade PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 using the PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) process.
  • Build, configure, and maintain multiple PeopleSoft environments on Linux and Oracle platforms.
  • Set up and manage middleware components, including WebLogic and Tuxedo.
  • Troubleshoot issues within PeopleTools 8.6x environments.
  • Perform advanced scripting tasks using Linux and SQL.
  • Configure and maintain search framework components, including Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
  • Coordinate closely with the database administrator on environment build and maintenance activities.
  • Support simultaneous ERP implementation and upgrade project activities.
  • Monitor and resolve environment issues to maintain system stability during upgrade cycles.
  • Document environment configurations and upgrade procedures as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 PUM upgrades.
  • 8 years of experience with middleware setup and management, including WebLogic and Tuxedo.
  • 8 years of experience troubleshooting in PeopleTools 8.6x environments.
  • 8 years of experience with advanced scripting in Linux and SQL.
  • 8 years of experience with search framework technologies, including at least 4 years with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience working with a public sector organization, including federal, state, or local government.
  • 2 years of experience working with a hosting vendor.
  • 2 years of experience working with Phire.
  • 2 years of experience working with Tivoli scheduler.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must be located within the United States.
  • The worker may be required to work outside normal business hours on weekends, evenings, and holidays, as requested.
  • Interviews will be conducted by phone or through Microsoft Teams.

Work Location and Schedule:

Location: 4601 W. Guadalupe, Austin, Texas 78751

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding Texas state holidays when the agency is closed; may require work outside normal business hours on weekends, evenings, and holidays as requested.

Work Arrangement: Fully remote/telework.
