This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join the SME&C Planning & Strategy Team.  Our team leads Commercial planning, the planning priorities and landing, across SME&C to enable an improved experience for our customers and field teams through coordinated improvements across revenue and investments, resource design, role success, GTM and landing.


The Senior Planning and Landing Lead will lead SME&C Planning to deliver against a common set of priorities through execution of strategic operational engines across revenue and investments, resource design, role success, GTM and landing.  This role will work closely will all of our planning stakeholders, our Global Strategy & Operations LT and our SME&C LT, as well as our solutions role owners and our field planning leaders to deliver against aggressive timelines and land a cohesive set of changes and experience for the field.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Planning and Landing Lead you will be responsible for: 

  • Lead a vteam across SME&C and Field Leaders to ensure a transparent and inclusive planning process, that delivers on a common set of priorities and drives business impact 
  • Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement year over year and deliver against in-quarter agility when needed
  • Leverage listening mechanisms to analyze and understand global and field feedback related to business priorities, requirements and areas of improvement, competitive pressures and landing impact
  • Design and execute a reporting/measure of success approach for the landing and adoption framework
  • Leverage data to measure and share insights against how past decisions have impacted business outcomes and make recommendations for future cycles
  • Define, publish and continuously update the planning leaders across the business on the roadmap and future plan. Leverage AI innovation to drive global excellence in process and stakeholder management
  • Establish a clear communication channel for the most critical updates and deadlines

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
3+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance.
 

Additional or preferred qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
 

3+ years of business planning experience. 

  • Strategic thinking & execution. Ability to develop sales and business strategy options, while also being able to successfully execute plans and build strong relationships.
  • Excellent Communicator. Strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, financial acumen, written, and verbal communication skills. 
  • High Performer. Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations and has the ability, characteristics, and determination to compete effectively against skilled and diverse competition.
  • Collaborative. Work cohesively with members of the Microsoft sales & partner teams, Microsoft partners, GTM teams and marketing to solve program issues, leverage best practices, & deliver results.
  • Strong project management skills:  identify needs, designing effective solutions, building, and executing highly successful programs at scale through to completion.
  • Effective analytical and project management skills, to deliver on time and deliver impact.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively, driving successful outcomes with virtual teams.

Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
