THE ROLE:
FloSports is searching for a Senior Producer, this role involves overseeing pre-season meetings to review broadcast guidelines and Flo branding, sharing best practices with partners, and creating written partnership guides. The role will also manage the output of all broadcast-related GFX projects, and provide support to teams using studios and remote workflows. This will be fundamental in helping to lay the technical foundation for all GFX systems & elements from the Creative Team, while also keeping track of functionality for the remote and studio Graphics Operators. Ideally this candidate will be familiar with various production models, both on-prem and cloud-based, and in-season broadcast reviews, including scheduling critique sessions as needed. Collaboration with other departments to coordinate broadcast needs is essential, along with leading onsite productions for partner conference championships. Additionally, leading efforts to standardize equipment across feed partners in partnership with Production Engineers and the Stream Engineering department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-season meetings to review broadcast guidelines and requirements as it pertains to Flo branding and coverage
Identify and share best practices with partners. Create and maintain written "Playbooks" or partnership guides.
In-season response and review of broadcasts. Schedule critique sessions when needed.
Work closely across other pertinent departments to coordinate broadcast needs.
Lead onsite productions for partner conference championships
Develop a staffing pool pipeline, post college of potential production candidates
Lead equipment standardization efforts across feed partners in unison with our Production Engineer and the Stream Engineering department.
Oversee day to day management of assets and documents to make sure they are efficiently delivered as required and outlined in live event Delivery Guidelines.
Work closely with Production teams and Vendors to manage timely delivery of assets.
Liaise with production teams (internal and external) and vendors regularly to ensure best practices are communicated as the delivery of assets
Ensure all assets and documents (broadcast materials, archival elements/paperwork) are efficiently delivered as required and outlined in Sports Delivery Guidelines. This includes but is not limited to confirming assets adhered to technical specifications, follow mandated file naming conventions and pass QC
Clearly articulate and document technical processes.
Assure adherence to FloSports style guide.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Live sports broadcast experience with demonstrated leadership skills and an emphasis on graphics builds and brand adherence
Familiarity with broadcast graphics systems is a strong plus (Singular Live, Flowics, Ross Expression, VizRT, Chyron, GT Title, Characterworks).
Familiarity with both on-prem and remote or cloud based production models.
Familiarity with software based production tools such as OBS and vMix as well as Blackmagic ATEM and Ross video switchers
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and communicate progress with multiple parties
Self-managing skills to dig into projects, search out necessary information, set timelines and be able to stick to them
Experience with Excel spreadsheets and data integration with graphics systems a plus
Travel may be required up to 30-40% of the time
