What if you could use your design skills to shape the future of how communities, hospitals, homes, sports stadiums, and schools around the world are built?

Construction touches nearly every life on the planet, yet remains one of the least digitized industries. That’s why we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who’s not just a skilled craftsperson, but a curious builder, strategic thinker, and natural leader to help us evolve Procore’s Design Systems and the entire construction industry along with it.

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll partner with Product and Engineering teams to create and shape Procore's Design Systems. This role balances creativity and logic, and helps ensure a systematic approach is thoughtfully applied across Procore's core customer facing products. You will be responsible for designing components and features of the design system within Figma, as well as facilitating cross-functional collaboration, testing, and shipping of high-quality work that is aligned with our objectives and values.

This position will report to a Head of Design Systems and has the opportunity to work in our Austin, TX location. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the evolution of Procore's Design System with a focus on craft, quality, and scalability — with a deep understanding of the unique patterns required to serve construction professionals across web and mobile.

  • Build and steward AI-forward design infrastructure: establish reusable patterns, components, and guidelines that help product teams integrate AI features consistently.

  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and design teams to build, ship, and drive adoption of high-quality components.

  • Proactively identify gaps and opportunities in the system and take intentional steps to address them, without waiting to be asked.

  • Facilitate contribution and change management processes to keep the Design System dynamic, inclusive, and robust.customer-facing

  • Help bridge the gap between mobile and web, creating seamless experiences across platforms.

  • Mentor peers not just in design tools, but in the strategic thinking that turns great ideas into great products.

  • Champion a human-centered approach by integrating research and user insights into the design process, ensuring that the Design System evolves to meet real user needs across all platforms.

  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure effective adoption and utilization of the Design System, treating them as primary partners in delivering consistent and high-quality user experiences.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience designing world-class apps with a strong portfolio of design work, with at least 2+ years in Design Systems

  • Hands-on experience using AI design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Claude, Cursor, or LLM-assisted prototyping) and a point of view on how to scale their use responsibly within a design org.

  • Strong aptitude for performing and synthesizing research, including contextual inquiry

  • Excellent communication skills with a proven track record presenting designs and articulating design decisions to both cross-functional teams and stakeholders

  • Proficiency in leading design software such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite

  • Extreme ownership, bias to action, and know-how to succeed in ambiguity

  • Ability to design as a team, exploring and promoting new ideas, especially those that aren’t your own

  • You’re self-aware and lead from a place of empathy

  • Enjoy the challenges of leveraging critical thinking and system thinking to solve highly complex and nuanced needs of enterprise B2B customers
