Senior Product Manager, Data, Reporting, and Platform Foundations

Remote (Full Time)

Compensation: $165,000

About Us

Zócalo Health is a tech-enabled, community-oriented primary care organization serving people who have historically been underserved by the one-size-fits-all  healthcare system. We partner with health plans, providers, and community organizations to deliver culturally competent primary care, behavioral health, and social care.

Our model is built for populations with high medical and social complexity, where fragmented care drives poor outcomes and unnecessary cost. We combine local, community-based teams with virtual care and modern technology to deliver coordinated, whole-person care where members live and receive support.

Founded in 2021, Zócalo Health is backed by leading healthcare and mission-aligned investors and is scaling rapidly across states and populations. We are building a durable care platform designed to perform in constrained healthcare environments and to lead the shift toward accountable, value-based care.

Role Description

The Senior Product Manager, Data, Reporting, and Platform Foundations will join Zócalo Health at a pivotal moment as we invest in the reporting, data, and platform foundations required to scale our care model across plans, programs, and geographies.

This role owns the Data and Reporting product domain end-to-end. As Zócalo scales across plans and payer relationships, reporting, operational visibility, and data infrastructure become foundational to audit readiness, payer trust, and informed decision-making. This role exists to build those capabilities systematically. Beyond reporting, you will define what data the platform needs to support, how data requirements evolve as care operations scale across plans and geographies, and how platform decisions support both near-term execution and long-term strategy.

You will define and drive your own roadmap, partner closely with Engineering to establish clear platform boundaries, data contracts, and decision frameworks, and make principled tradeoffs as ingestion patterns mature. You will collaborate closely with the VP of Product on sequencing and major tradeoffs, while operating autonomously within your domain.

This position reports to the VP of Product.

The Senior Product Manager, Data, Reporting, and Platform Foundations will contribute in the following ways:

  • Own the Data, Reporting, and Platform product roadmap end-to-end, including problem definition, prioritization, and delivery
  • Own reporting infrastructure and automation, including payer-required reporting, plan-specific contract deliverables, and internal business visibility
  • Define data and reporting requirements that inform ingestion and schema decisions, partnering with Engineering on technical direction as foundational work matures
  • Partner closely with Engineering to clarify platform boundaries, data contracts, and ownership across systems
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure schema evolution reflects operational reality and reporting needs as patterns stabilize
  • Define product requirements for data lake capabilities that support analytics, reporting, and future AI-enabled use cases
  • Make explicit tradeoffs between speed, flexibility, and long-term platform durability
  • Reduce ambiguity around data decisions by creating clarity, documentation, and decision frameworks
  • Ensure platform and data investments remain grounded in real care operations and business needs

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience or equivalent experience owning platform, data, or systems-heavy products
  • Strong systems thinking and comfort working with complex, imperfect data
  • Experience owning reporting, BI, or analytics products that serve operational and compliance audiences
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering on platform or data-intensive initiatives
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, early-stage environments
  • Demonstrated ownership of outcomes and decision-making, not just execution
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into product judgment
  • Comfort using AI-enabled tooling to accelerate product development and operational workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with healthcare data, EHRs, or payer and plan data
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, data lakes, analytics platforms, or infrastructure-adjacent products
  • Experience evolving data models over time rather than designing them upfront
  • Fluency with analytical tools (Metabase or similar) and comfort with SQL
  • Exposure to analytics or AI-enabled product use cases
  • Experience working with external development partners or vendors

What you can expect from Zócalo Health

  • Equity compensation package
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision
  • 401k
  • Flexible PTO policy - take the time you need to recharge
  • $1,000 home office stipend
  • We provide the equipment needed for this role.
  • Opportunity for rapid career progression with plenty of room for personal growth.

You must be authorized to work in the United States. Remote Work can be done from anywhere in the U.S.
