Serve as Chief of Staff to the SVP of Product, owning cross-functional, ambiguous strategic problems (pricing, GTM, platform, M&A, new markets). Quickly develop plans, build executive-grade narratives, model quantitative cases, and bridge Product, Design, and Corporate Strategy to drive decisions and execution. Use AI tools as default workflow and support product leadership in refining strategy.

We're looking for a Chief of Staff to join Procore's Product organization. In this role, you'll take on the unowned problems that fall between Product, Design, and Corporate Strategy — the ones with no clear brief and no obvious owner — and turn them into a plan within days, not weeks. You’ll serve as a strategic advisor, holding the portfolio-level context and the company-level objectives in mind at all times.

As a Chief of Staff, you'll partner with Product Management, Design, and Corporate Strategy to close the gaps between them and keep handoffs from drifting. Use your structured problem-solving, executive-grade narrative craft, and intellectual courage to turn fragmented thinking into a coherent story. This is a rare seat with real influence over how Procore's biggest strategic bets get positioned and executed while they're still being decided — if that's the kind of ambiguity you want to run toward, we'd like to talk.

This position reports into the SVP of Product and will be based in New York, NY or Austin, TX.

What you'll do

  • Take ownership of problems nobody owns — pricing, GTM, and platform questions that fall between Product, Design, Corporate Strategy, Sales, and Marketing — and turn each into a plan within weeks, then hand it off cleanly.

  • Hold the portfolio view across Procore's biggest strategic bets — M&A, new markets, new customer types, new product motions — while diving into priority projects deep enough to ship them yourself.

  • Shape the narrative behind those bets while they're still being decided, reconciling pricing, platform, and org changes into one story that holds up with the board and the field.

  • Use AI tools as your default way of working, you’ll help trail-blaze some of the future of work by first modeling it in your own.

  • Partner with the broader Product Leadership team and specifically the SVP Product to debate and refine product and strategy ideas before they reach the exec team.

  • Serve as the working bridge between Product and Corporate Strategy, translating each side's constraints into terms the other can act on and building the relationships that help things go smoothly when they inevitably get messy.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ trailblaze years in strategy, operations, product, or consulting — roles where you're handed problems with no scope, no owner, and a deadline, and the deadline holds.

  • Experience presenting to executives — you know the difference between a document that informs and one that forces a decision.

  • Quantitative chops — comfortable building a model from scratch and quick to spot when the numbers are telling a different story than the deck.

  • AI-pilled, not AI-adjacent — you've already rewired how you work around AI tools and can point to specific ways they've changed your output.

  • Willingness to disagree with the person who hired you, in the room, with a specific reason.

  • Comfort with a role where what's expected of you is clear but which problem lands next isn't.
