Who We Are

Nirvana is on a mission to modernize commercial insurance and enable a safer world. Our AI-driven technology platform delivers modern insurance and risk management to help our customers protect their businesses and to improve the safety of their operations.

We've already proven the scale—serving thousands of fleets and more than doubling our written premiums year over year. Our data moat is growing exponentially with more than 30 billion miles of telematics data, leading to more predictive models and new insights into how we can better understand and reduce risk.

With $270+ million raised, including our Series D round in December 2025, we're only accelerating our growth, with strong support from top-tier VCs including Lightspeed, General Catalyst, and Valor. Nirvana's leadership team has previously helped scale multi-billion-dollar companies from scratch, including Samsara, Rubrik, and Flexport, and includes industry veterans from Hiscox, The Hartford, and RLI.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the core platforms and data foundation that power our business, spanning pricing, risk, and the AI systems that run across the full insurance policy lifecycle. You'll make them sharper, faster, and more defensible than anything in the market, while building the data advantage that compounds over time.

We’re a distributed team spread across the US & India, and offices in San Francisco, CA & Columbus, OH. We’re open to candidates in any location.

What You’ll Do

  • Own both the roadmap and the execution: what gets built, in what order, and whether it actually ships.

  • Talk to customers, brokers, and underwriters to understand what they need and prioritize the problems worth solving.

  • Set the direction Engineering, Data Science, Actuaries, and GTM build toward, so the whole chain holds together from the data going in, to the price an underwriter uses.

  • Shape the longer-term vision, starting with pricing and extending across the product suite over time.

About You

  • 4-7 years experience in Product Management or equivalent roles, ideally shipping 0-1 products.

  • Strong quantitative skills. You’re comfortable living in data and numbers, you notice when something is off and you dig into why.

  • Excellent communication skills, written & verbal. You can present to customers and internal audiences like underwriting and explain a complicated decision simply.

  • Credibility with technical partners. You earn trust in data science and engineering because you understand their work. You can make sound, technical decisions.

  • Ability to drive cross-functional teams to ship products/features on aggressive timelines.

  • Bias-to-action. you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and do what needs to be done.

  • Owner mentality. You take accountability end-to-end, especially in the messy middle where data, models and systems meet.

  • Successfully able to work in high-growth & dynamic start-up environments.

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.) preferred. MS, PhD, or MBA is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Experience building products where pricing or risk models directly drive revenue: insurance, lending or marketplaces

  • B2B or fintech background

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Medical, dental & vision insurance (100% employer paid)

  • 401k with up to 4% company match

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Parental Leave

  • Wellness reimbursement

We set our salary ranges using compensation data from companies similar to our stage and size. For this role, the estimated salary range for this position is $155,000-$220,000. The actual base salary will vary depending on multiple factors unique to each candidate, including location, job-related knowledge, transferable skills, work experience and our assessment of your level during the interview process.

Nirvana offers a wide range of best-in-class, comprehensive benefits for this role including 100% employer paid healthcare plans, a healthy 401k match program, paid time off, parental leave, wellness reimbursement, work-from-home stipend and more.

In addition, Nirvana offers equity for all full-time employees, which is not included in the range listed above and will have a significant impact on your overall compensation.

Nirvana is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you’re interested in this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply. We'd like to consider you for this position and roles that may be a fit in the future. Nirvana is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, orientation, national origin, age,
