Meet the Team

Silicon Labs is building a world-class Broad Market Product Line to accelerate broad-market adoption across our wireless IoT portfolio by delivering complete, scalable “whole product” solutions—silicon, modules, software, tools, enablement, and ecosystem partnerships—through a self-service, low-touch, and standardized go-to-market model.

As Senior Product Marketing Manager – IoT Software, you will join the Product Marketing & Broad Market organization and serve as the software product marketing lead for Broad Market Products as well as the BU-wide integration lead for software planning, prioritization, and release alignment. You will synthesize voice-of-market insights into clear software priorities, enablement strategy, and assets that improve developer experience and accelerate mass-market adoption. Additionally, you will represent all BU Segments (Commercial, Home, Industrial, Life) in the software planning process and serve as the primary interface to Software Product Management and R&D—presenting a unified, data-driven view of Segment + Broad Market priorities and driving alignment on trade-offs and release readiness.

Responsibilities

Broad Market Software Strategy, Tools, and Enablement

  • Set and drive the broad market software strategy across Silicon Labs’ wireless IoT portfolio to improve developer experience, reduce friction, and increase mass-market adoption (design-ins, time-to-market, supportability).

  • Own the end-to-end developer experience for broad market products: SDKs, SDK packaging, tools/workflows, dev kits, reference apps, documentation, onboarding content, training, and community enablement.

  • Define and execute software launch and readiness for broad market products—ensuring internal and external enablement assets are complete, consistent, and measurable.

  • Develop and manage software-focused ecosystem partnerships (cloud/platform, RTOS/OS, tooling, middleware) that accelerate adoption and strengthen portfolio differentiation.

  • Define and monitor adoption and customer experience metrics (e.g., time-to-first-build, eval-to-design-in conversion, tool usage, top support drivers, net promoter score) to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement based on insights.

Software Planning, Prioritization, and Release Alignment (BU-Wide)

  • Lead BU-wide software prioritization and release planning across Broad Market and Segments (Commercial, Home, Industrial, Life); represent a unified BU view in planning forums with Software Product Management and R&D, driving alignment on priorities and trade-offs.

  • Communicate clear prioritization rationale using customer impact, revenue/design-in potential, time-to-value, quality, and strategic differentiation.

  • Identify and translate market and customer needs into engineering-ready requirements at the 2nd/3rd level of detail; communicate technical and business implications to inform decisions.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Execution

  • Partner with global stakeholders including leadership, Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering/R&D, Program/Project Management, Sales/FAEs, Support/Apps, and Community to align roadmaps, priorities, release readiness, and stakeholder communications.

  • Implement repeatable mechanisms (prioritization frameworks, readiness scorecards, voice-of-market intake, top support driver analysis, and post-release learnings) to improve execution quality and predictability.

Skills You Will Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • 10+ years of industry experience in IoT/wireless/embedded/semiconductors, including 5+ years in software product marketing or software product management.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes and release management.

  • Proven track record of leading software planning, prioritization, and release execution and demonstrated ability to influence roadmap trade-offs across multiple business stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of wireless IoT markets, ecosystems, and technologies including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 802.15.4 (Zigbee/Thread/Matter), sub-GHz, and edge compute.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics into crisp, decision-ready narratives and enablement content.

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Hands-on experience developing embedded software (e.g., connectivity stacks/protocols, SDK components, device drivers, tools, or reference applications).

  • Experience improving developer experience and adoption for embedded/IoT SDKs and tools (IDE/tooling, docs, examples, development kits, onboarding flows).

  • Experience building scalable enablement programs for broad-market customers (distribution, community, self-service models).

  • Familiarity with IoT/embedded developer workflows (IDE/toolchains, debugging, SDK structure, CI/build, sample apps) and system-level considerations (OS selection, security, provisioning, interoperability/certification, low-power, connectivity stacks).

  • Experience developing ecosystem partnerships/integrations (cloud, middleware, toolchain).

  • Experience building business cases that tie software investments to business outcomes grounded in analytics and data (e.g., adoption funnel metrics, customer success measures).

  • Familiarity with edge compute and AI/ML technologies.
