About Teak

Teak is a fully remote embedded refund technology company serving the live events, participation sports, and hospitality verticals. We operate a B2B2C model, partnering with platforms and operators to deliver refund and protection solutions that drive revenue and improve the end-consumer experience. Teak runs on EOS and is in a period of focused, deliberate growth.

Role Overview

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager is a critical hire for Teak as we scale our GTM motion across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Legal. Teak is building the category for refund protection in the experience economy. As we scale, the story we tell — to partners, to consumers, to the market — becomes as important as the product itself.

You'll take complex product inputs and turn them into sharp positioning, audience-specific messaging, and marketing that moves people to act. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure Teak's solutions are communicated clearly and consistently, from first evaluation through activation and expansion. You'll shape how the market understands refund protection, what Teak owns in that space, and why no one else can deliver it the way we do.

You'll report to the VP, Marketing. This is a strategic role with real execution demands in a category Teak defines and owns.

Key Responsibilities

Positioning, Narrative & GTM Messaging

  • Drive Teak's master positioning — the foundational document that defines how the platform, delivery models, and benefit layers are described, and ensures that narrative stays sharp and consistent as the product evolves.
  • Translate product inputs and market context into GTM recommendations and audience-specific messaging across partner and consumer audiences.
  • Develop and maintain solution messaging frameworks across Teak's products and platform capabilities, ensuring consistency from partner evaluation through activation.
  • Bring market and messaging context to pricing and packaging decisions, partnering with Product, Finance, and Legal to ensure pricing is positioned clearly and competitively across verticals.

Consumer-Facing Product Messaging

  • Shape and refine the language consumers encounter across the Teak platform — feature names, in-app copy, and transactional messaging at the refund and point-of-purchase moment.
  • Ensure all product-related content is accurate, on-brand, and compliant across verticals.

Market, ICP & Competitive Intelligence

  • Build vertical-specific understanding of the experience economy, i.e., venues, marketplaces, operators, and consumers.
  • Synthesize partner, sales, and market signals into insight that drives product and GTM decisions.
  • Continuously track the competitive landscape, identify where Teak wins and why, and translate findings into differentiated messaging and sales enablement.

Product Launch Execution

  • Partner with Product and Revenue to align on launch readiness, ensuring all teams are prepared and dependencies are resolved ahead of release.
  • Own the external launch — messaging, content, and marketing deliverables — so every new feature and solution enters the market clearly and consistently.
  • Define success metrics for adoption and awareness, track performance post-launch, and feed findings back into positioning, enablement, and future GTM planning.

Enablement, Content & Campaigns

  • Build and maintain collateral, battlecards, and playbooks grounded in customer feedback, market data, and product knowledge.
  • Train Sales and CS on new messaging, positioning updates, and product launches, and keep enablement materials up to date as the platform evolves.
  • Develop onboarding content that helps new partners quickly understand Teak's solutions and activate with confidence.
  • Contribute to content that drives partner awareness and adoption: website copy, case studies, partner communications, and vertical-specific marketing.
  • Feed demand generation with messaging and content grounded in product knowledge and market insight.
What We Are Looking For

Required

  • 5-7 years of product marketing experience at a B2B, fintech, or developer/platform company, ideally with multi-vertical exposure.
  • Proven ability to translate product inputs — roadmaps, specs, release notes — into GTM strategy and marketing vehicles that drive awareness and adoption.
  • Skilled at making complex, regulated, or technical topics clear and compelling without losing accuracy.
  • Experience with consumer-facing product copy — in-app language, transactional messaging, and feature naming — with strong instincts for tone, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Strong research and synthesis skills with the ability to turn customer feedback, competitive signals, and sales input into a clear point of view and actionable recommendations.
  • Comfortable with the overlap of product, legal, and commercial constraints.
  • This is a remote position. Travel to team meetings is required as necessary.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in embedded technology, payments, insurance, or adjacent B2B2C models.
  • Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or similar operating frameworks.
  • Experience in the experience economy, such as events, entertainment, hospitality, travel, or adjacent verticals a plus.
What We Offer
  • Fully Remote Working Environment
  • Competitive Salary and Equity Opportunities
  • Unlimited Paid Time-off
  • Two paid week-long office closures per year: Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day, and the Week of the Fourth of July
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits
  • Annual Bonus Program
  • 401k Matching
  • $100/month for Event Ticket Purchase
  • Twice annual company retreats in fantastic locations such as Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, San Diego, Napa, Denver, Phoenix, and Seattle
  • Opportunity to play a defining role in Teak's next phase of growth
