Senior Project Manager

Austin, TX 

Project Management at Silicon Labs is recognized as a core function to enable the Company to excel in quality and delivery in the IoT space. This role will drive hardware and software project management processes and executions models for our IoT business.
 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver programs supporting Silicon Labs’ IoT embedded IC development and related SW on time, on budget and to specifications.
  • Work with key stakeholders throughout the org to drive planning and execution.
  • Engage, influence, and ensure alignment of Core Team members and stakeholders with project strategy, providing constructive challenge to team members and other stakeholders where relevant.
  • Keep project timelines in sync with overarching program release timelines.
  • Manage projects from concept through delivery, monitor progress, manage changes, risks, and issues.
  • Record detailed requirements, constraints, risks, and assumptions with team members.
  • Ensure common understanding and collaboration across the org.
  • Formalize final acceptance for the projects.
  • Prepare and present weekly project summaries to key stakeholders.
     

Skills you will need

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, or other technology-related degree with 10+ years of Semiconductor industry experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a Project or Program Management role
  • Certifications in Project Management desired
  • Detailed understanding and hands-on experience in integrated product development lifecycle management.
  • Ability to influence, communicate effective plans, and build trust among cross-functional engineering teams and leaders.
  • Modern project management tools (Confluence, Jira, MS Project, etc.)
  • Previous hands-on experience as an engineering manager of IC hardware development a plus.
  • Experience in a core team leadership role at a semiconductor company a plus
  • Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) powered tools and technologies used to enhance productivity, analysis, and decision-making.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $101,150 - $187,850 USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
