Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and go-to-market roles during a six-month contract. Source and assess candidates, coordinate interviews, maintain recruiting pipelines in Ashby, advise hiring managers using market and candidate insights, support offers and negotiations, and improve recruiting processes. The role requires independent execution, strong sourcing skills, familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area talent market, and the ability to manage multiple searches in a fast-paced environment.

Airbyte is the data and action layer for AI agents. We give agents fast, accurate, authenticated access to business data across hundreds of sources, so they can discover the entities that matter, reason over real-time context, and take action in the systems they read from, not just observe them.

We started as the open-source standard for data movement and proved the economics of data integration at scale: hundreds of connectors, thousands of companies, and, since 2020, have raised $181M from leading investors including Benchmark, Accel, Altimeter, Coatue, and Y Combinator. As our CEO Michel Tricot puts it, "the last ten years were all about structured data. The future is all about context." We're now building that context infrastructure for production-grade agents on the same open foundation, as agents become the primary consumers of enterprise data.

Our mission is unchanged: make data available and actionable to everyone, everywhere. That everyone now includes AI agents.

The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Recruiter to join Airbyte on a 6-month contract and help us hire exceptional talent across the company.

In this role, you’ll own full-cycle recruiting across a mix of GTM and technical roles, flexing your focus based on the needs of the business. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to define profiles, build targeted sourcing strategies, assess talent, and move searches forward with urgency.

We’re looking for someone who is highly proactive, has strong sourcing instincts, and understands the competitive talent landscape in San Francisco. You should be comfortable operating independently, bringing a point of view to searches, and coaching hiring managers when the market or candidate feedback suggests we need to recalibrate.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys sourcing, has a strong eye for talent across different functions, communicates clearly, and can keep multiple searches organized and moving in a fast-paced environment.

This role is estimated to work 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do:
  • Own full-cycle recruiting from intake through offer

  • Proactively source and engage high-quality candidates using LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and other creative strategies

  • Conduct screening conversations to assess experience, skills, and alignment

  • Drive interview coordination and ensure a seamless, timely experience for candidates and interviewers

  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and reporting within Ashby

  • Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers by sharing market insights, candidate feedback, and recommendations throughout the search

  • Support offer development and negotiation to help close top talent

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of recruiting processes, messaging, and tools

What You’ll Need:
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience hiring for both technical and non-technical roles

  • Proven ability to source and engage candidates across diverse role types and seniority levels

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems such as Ashby and managing candidate flow

  • Experience recruiting in the San Francisco Bay Area and familiarity with the local talent market

  • Ability to use pipeline data and candidate feedback to identify issues and recommend changes to a search

  • Ability to operate independently as a contractor, managing priorities and deadlines

Location:
  • Remote, with a preference for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area who can occasionally work from our SF office

Why You'll Love Working at Airbyte:

At Airbyte, we believe great work happens when people feel supported, trusted, and empowered to grow. Our market-leading Total Rewards package is designed to help you thrive professionally and personally. Our benefits and perks include:

  • Flexible PTO with a culture that encourages at least 25 days off annually

  • 16 weeks fully paid parental leave for all parents

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents

  • 401(k) retirement plan

  • Professional development budget, conference sponsorship, and book reimbursement

  • Commuter benefits and monthly internet reimbursement

  • Breakfast and lunch in our San Francisco office

  • A collaborative, in-person culture focused on learning, growth, and impact

If you find this role exciting, we encourage you to apply even if you think you don’t meet all of the requirements!
