We believe that the combination of an innovative spirit and strong community partnership allows us to achieve best-in-class execution and create successful outcomes.

Who we are

At Riot, we’re building the future of digital infrastructure. Our team members have unparalleled opportunities to work on groundbreaking initiatives. Through technical excellence and strategic execution, Riot has positioned itself as a leader in the industry driving advancements that continue to set new benchmarks in digital infrastructure.

We are trailblazers. Problem solvers. People who thrive in fast paced environments, communicate clearly, and bring relentless focus to efficiency and execution.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter to act as a consultative partner to our leadership and technical teams. This position requires a true builder - someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and possesses the ownership-driven mindset required to create structure, iterate on processes, and scale hiring programs from the ground up to support our complex, large-scale infrastructure initiatives.

You will be responsible for driving the full recruitment lifecycle-sourcing, engaging, and securing top talent across corporate functions (Marketing, People Ops, FP&A, Accounting, Internal Audit, Power, Public Policy), management and technical roles in engineering, IT, operations, and entry level technician roles. Your expertise across corporate and technical recruiting, paired with your ability to build meaningful relationships and influence hiring strategy, will be key to shaping our company’s future.

This position will be hybrid based in our Austin office. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.

What you'll do

  • Drive end-to-end talent acquisition by partnering with leadership to shape recruitment strategies, manage requisitions, and deliver scalable, high-impact hires aligned with company growth and technical goals.
  • Act as a strategic talent advisor to hiring managers and leadership, providing market insights, competitive intelligence, and data-driven metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire) to guide confident, informed hiring decisions.
  • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines through proactive talent mapping, creative sourcing across niche communities and networks, and succession planning support to stay ahead of critical hiring needs.
  • Champion an exceptional hiring experience by delivering white-glove service to both candidates and hiring managers - from initial outreach through seamless onboarding - building lasting trust in the TA function.
  • Elevate employer brand in partnership with Marketing to position the company as an employer of choice in the AI/HPC infrastructure space, representing the organization at industry events, talent forums, and networking initiatives.
  • Ensure compliant, market-aware recruitment practices by monitoring trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes while upholding all company policies and guidelines throughout the hiring process.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of a combination of corporate, agency, and technical recruiting experience, including at least 3 years where you’ve helped build and scale recruiting processes, programs, and projects.
  • A builder mindset - you’re comfortable with ambiguity, take initiative, and enjoy creating structure where it doesn’t yet exist.
  • Proven success recruiting for technical, specialized, and senior-level roles across multiple disciplines and geographies.
  • Relationship building is at the core of everything you do - from the way you engage candidates to how you partner with hiring managers and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Deep expertise in full-cycle recruiting practices combined with proficiency in ATS platforms, sourcing tools, AI, and recruiting analytics.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience + bonus + sign-on equity grant.
  • Long-Term Growth: Eligible to participate in Riot’s equity incentive programs and share in the success you help build.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Incudes a generous company match.
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Multiple medical plan options, including 100% company-paid plans.
  • Wellness & Lifestyle Perks: Enjoy free gym memberships, pet insurance, childcare discounts, and more to support your life both in and out of work.
