What You’ll Do
  • Review and manage the revenue recording process for self-service transactions: Reconcile self-service revenue in month-end close, and monitor and reply to customer requests on a daily basis
  • Review non-standard revenue contracts and assess the revenue accounting impact
  • Implement revenue recognition processes using data build tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes
  • Maintain key systems integrations between Stripe, NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, Hex, etc. and validate integrated data is complete and accurate before month-end close starts
  • Perform reconciliations of revenue accounts in month-end close
  • Own activities related to sales tax including reconciliation of payments, accrual JE posting, and reviewing returns as part of month-end close
What You’ll Need
  • Worked asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team
  • 3+ years working experience focusing on accounting, preferably revenue accounting
  • Basic understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Take ownership, can multi-task, and have strong problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel

  • Experiences in billing or quoting systems (Salesforce, Stripe, etc.), experiences in ERP system (NetSuite)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL script

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience, including salary, equity, and where applicable, performance-based pay. Our Talent Acquisition Team can answer questions around dbt Lab’s total rewards during your interview process. In select locations (including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and Seattle), an alternate range may apply, as specified below.

  • The typical starting salary range for this role is:
    • $91,000 - $110,700 USD
  • The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed is:
    • $101,000 - $123,000 USD
