Position Summary

IEM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Salesforce Administrator to lead the optimization and strategic evolution of our Salesforce environment. This senior-level position will drive platform excellence, mentor team members, and build scalable solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring our Salesforce platform not only operates at peak efficiency but also evolves to meet our growing business needs and strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced System Solutions: Design and implement complex Salesforce solutions including custom objects, advanced automation (Flow, Apex triggers), integration patterns, and scalable data models that support enterprise-level operations.
  • User Management & Security: Implement and maintain sophisticated security models including complex role hierarchies, sharing rules, permission sets, field-level security, and compliance with data governance policies. Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices.
  • Data Governance & Management: Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and master data management practices. Lead data migration projects, implement data archival strategies, and ensure GDPR/compliance requirements are met.
  • Advanced Reporting & Analytics: Develop sophisticated dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Salesforce Reports, Dashboards, Salesforce CRM Analytics (formerly Einstein Analytics), collaborate with Tableau team to embed data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Integration Management: Collaborate with Mulesoft team to design, implement, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (ERP, CPQ, marketing automation, etc.) using APIs, middleware platforms, and iPaaS solutions. Ensure data consistency and real-time synchronization across systems.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor junior administrators and developers, provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Change Management & Release Coordination: Lead release management activities including sandbox strategy, deployment planning, testing coordination, and production releases. Ensure DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments.
  • Training & Enablement: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for end-users and power users. Create training materials, documentation, and self-service resources to maximize platform adoption and user proficiency.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with consulting partners, and third-party vendors. Evaluate and recommend AppExchange solutions and manage vendor implementations.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of Salesforce innovations including AI capabilities, emerging technologies, and industry trends. Proactively identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and enhanced user experience.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience: 7+ years as a Salesforce Administrator with progressively increasing responsibilities. Proven track record of leading large-scale Salesforce implementations, migrations, or transformations. Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Platform Administrator and Platform Administrator II certifications required. At least one additional certification strongly preferred: Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or Platform Developer.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Salesforce configuration, automation tools (Flow), security models, and data management. Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL queries. Understanding of web services, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, facilitate workshops, and build consensus across departments.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional initiatives, and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Embraces change and demonstrates creative problem-solving. Proactively identifies opportunities for innovation and efficiency gains.
  • Passionate about professional development and staying current with Salesforce innovations, industry trends, and emerging technologies. Active participation in the Salesforce community (Trailhead, user groups, events).
  • EST/SOAP APIs, and integration patterns.

  • Salesforce Field Service
  • Salesforce OmniStudio (FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures)
  • Salesforce Revenue Cloud / CPQ implementation and administration
  • DevOps tools and methodologies (Gearset, GitHub or similar CI/CD platforms)
  • Data warehousing platforms (Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or similar)
  • SQL and database management
  • Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Einstein AI and Agentforce capabilities
  • Industry Cloud solutions (Manufacturing Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, etc.)
  • Project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum)

Job Location:

  • Position is located in Austin, TX.
  • The position will start as a remote role, but is seeking people who must be able to work hybrid from our Austin, Texas facility in the future. This role may require up to 15% travel to IEM facilities, supplier sites, compliance audits or conferences.
