Summary
We are seeking an experienced, highly professional Senior Scrum Master I to join our OneStream Product & Engineering organization. This role is ideal for a strong servant‑leader who is passionate about enabling teams to deliver maximum value and consistently achieve organizational goals. You will play a critical role in planning, organizing, and guiding the development of OneStream Platform & Cloud Engineering features and/or domain solutions across 2–3 Scrum teams.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Development and Product teams to understand the OneStream Platform and/or domain solutions, enabling effective guidance during estimation and planning activities.
- Coach and mentor Scrum teams in Agile principles and practices to deliver high‑quality products and services.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and support teams in advancing their self‑organization and maturity at a sustainable pace.
- Mentor and support other Scrum Masters by sharing best practices and promoting cross‑team learning.
- Assist in onboarding and educating new hires on Agile concepts and OneStream’s feature development processes.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies with expertise, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives.
- Ensure Agile and Scrum processes are well‑documented, consistently followed, and continuously refined to support team success.
- Build and maintain complex Jira dashboards to support stakeholder visibility into release progress, Epics, sprints, story and bug tracking, and backlog prioritization.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and delivery teams to align execution plans with roadmap priorities, proactively identifying and resolving conflicts or gaps.
- Track, manage, and follow up on action items and blockers to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain strong communication with Senior Management and VP‑level leaders, providing clear status updates and recommending process improvements.
- Lead recurring meetings with senior leadership focused on release planning, roadmapping, and progress reporting, leveraging digital whiteboard tools such as Miro.
- Remove impediments for teams and coach them to anticipate and address obstacles proactively and strategically.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Scrum Certification: A‑CSM (Advanced Certified ScrumMaster.)
- 5+ years of dedicated Scrum Master experience in a software development environment.
- Experience coaching and supporting 2–3 Scrum teams simultaneously.
- 7+ years of total experience in Scrum, project management, or program management.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Ability to understand technical concepts and apply critical thinking to day‑to‑day challenges and solutions.
- Deep knowledge of servant leadership, advanced facilitation techniques, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
- Strong problem‑solving, judgment, and decision‑making skills.
- Effective communication skills across written and verbal mediums, including with technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting demands.
- Demonstrates and champions Agile values and principles.
- Exceptional negotiation, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in Agile frameworks and methods (Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban) and strong understanding of SDLC and traditional project management practices.
- Proficiency in backlog refinement, story splitting, estimation techniques, velocity, capacity planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum practices.
- Highly skilled in planning, story mapping, and collaborative problem‑solving with Product Management and delivery teams.
- Advanced proficiency with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, TFS, and Office 365.
