About the Role
We are looking for an experienced security practitioner to help us in our mission to help build a better internet. As part of our team, you will be expected to:
- Work with our engineering, IT, and infrastructure teams to secure the entire Cloudflare global network and enterprise
- Deploy and manage security tools that help address security risk at a global scale
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure adherence to standards
- Ensure our global infrastructure is secure from all attacks, ranging from "script kiddies" to nation states
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of previous experience in cyber security
- Strong relationship building with cross functional teams
- Experience working with corporate Information Technology platforms and systems
- Advanced security practices for Linux, MacOS, Windows systems
- Experience with public cloud security best practices (GCP, Azure, etc.)
- Ability to clearly communicate complex security requirements to stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to build and nurture robust working relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, and provide clarity to complex situations
- Strong background in deploying and supporting infrastructure and security technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Terraform, Ansible)
- Advanced programming experience (Python, Golang, Bash, etc.)
- Experience with securing Google Workspace
- Experience with risk review and evaluations of configurations
