Goody is a gifting company making it easy to send personal and corporate gifts. With more than two million gifts sent and customers including Google, Stripe, Meta, Anthropic, Notion, NBCUniversal, DHL, and others, we have found product–market fit and are looking to grow and scale. We're looking for a motivated Senior Software Engineer to help us introduce a delightful, category-defining product to more people.

You will be the engineer with the most direct impact on our growth, which is the key KPI of our business. In this role, you will partner with our Growth team to accelerate acquisition, conversion, activation, and retention, running experiments that range from small tweaks with outsized impact to entirely new feature bets.

If you love shipping fast, know how to measure success, and are motivated by seeing your work move the needle, this role is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Own the growth engineering function: Partner closely with our Growth team to identify opportunities, design experiments, and ship changes that improve our core funnel metrics.

  • Experiment fast and iterate: Implement A/B tests and experiments across our product, from landing pages to onboarding to customer lifecycle messaging, while learning quickly and using data to evaluate and inform next steps.

  • Build new bets: Go beyond incremental optimization to prototype and ship new features, including dark horse ideas that could unlock disproportionate growth.

  • Influence the product: Advocate for growth-minded thinking across the company and translate learnings into product improvements that benefit all users.

In this role, you will work across our entire platform and stack, touching everything from marketing pages, to gift notification emails (a huge part of our business), to our core features. This is an excellent role for someone who thrives on impact, loves experimentation, and wants to shape how people discover and experience Goody.

Requirements
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in growth, (engineering experimentation, or working on user-facing funnels (acquisition, activation, retention).

  • You have at least 4 years of experience building production web applications.

  • You are highly motivated to be a driving force in the growth of Goody, by using code, AI, and creativity to help us share our product with more people.

  • You're a full-stack engineer adept in both frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Ruby on Rails preferred, or strong experience in Python/Node).

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and can drive projects from idea to shipped experiment to core feature.

  • You bring great vibes and attitude that match our ethos of delivering delight to our senders and recipients.

Company Benefits
  • 100% remote work

  • Group medical, dental, and vision coverage insurance (with opt-out benefits)

  • 401k

  • Stock options

  • Open PTO, with a company-wide summer break designed to counterbalance the demands of the year-end holiday season.

  • Paid parental leave benefits

  • Annual company offsite – past locations include Cabo, San Diego, and Banff

  • $100/month reimbursement for wellness

  • $500 annual education stipend

  • Lots of Goodys!

Benefits may vary based on employment status or country location.
