Who are we:

Have an interest in making an impact for millions of consumers? Do you thrive in a cross-collaborative environment? Are you ready to take on your next career challenge? If you want to pursue your professional goals as you help grow an innovative real estate tech company, this work is for you!

We’re offering a dynamic opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Owners & Sellers team. In this role, You will act as a foundational technical engineer running mission-critical platforms that directly drive revenue, while taking charge of initiatives that improve the consumer experience and drive core business outcomes. Leverage the latest technologies, including Typescript, React, Node.js, NextJS, GraphQL, AWS, AI tools, and more, to accelerate your professional growth and achieve new heights in your career.

Top Reasons to Apply:

  1. Hands-On Cloud & DevOps Ownership
You’ll own the infrastructure, not just the code. You will design AWS data pipelines and automate the toolchain (using Lambda, ECS, and CloudFormation) to enable instant service provisioning and zero-friction deployments.
  2. AI-Driven Engineering Culture
The team actively rewards engineers who leverage AI tools as a performance multiplier. You’ll be encouraged to use AI to write better code faster and accelerate development in a forward-thinking environment.
  3. Full-Stack Scale & Impact
You will own the end-to-end architecture for the top builder listing site in the US. This means bridging complex AWS data pipelines with high-velocity, SEO-optimized React/NextJS frontends handling massive traffic.

What you’ll do:

●        Develop and Maintain: Own systems and evolutions for key parts of the Owners & Sellers platform, defining clear boundaries, contracts, and data models between services. Participate in and lead architectural discussions, contributing to technical design documents and implementation proposals.

●        Lead Complex Initiatives: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers on cross-squad initiatives end-to-end—from early discovery and technical design through implementation, rollout, and post-launch iteration.

●        Full-Stack Excellence: Maintain and improve the stability, readability, and scalability of the codebase, ensuring best practices across backend services and frontend architecture using React and Next.js.

●        Optimize Performance & Reliability: Drive performance improvements and optimize Core Web Vitals (such as INP metrics) across our pages. Lead operational excellence by ensuring services meet SLAs, influencing incident response, and continuously reducing incident volume and MTTR.

●        Shape the Technical Roadmap: Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Designers to define and sequence work that advances both business goals and platform health.

●        Leverage Cutting-Edge Tooling: Utilize AI coding assistants and LLMs proficiently to accelerate development velocity, generate boilerplate, and troubleshoot complex debugging scenarios, while exercising critical judgment to verify outputs for security and accuracy.

●        Mentor and Elevate: Provide technical leadership within and across teams, coaching junior to Staff engineers, reviewing PRs for high-risk changes, and aligning teams on shared patterns.

What You’ll Bring:

●        7+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time in large-scale, distributed systems

●        Deep full-stack proficiency: Extensive experience in frontend web development with a strong focus on Typescript, React js and Apollo GraphQL combined with deep proficiency in backend languages like Node js and GraphQL.

●        AI Tooling Mastery: Proven proficiency using modern AI-assisted SDLC environments and agents (e.g., Claude/Cursor/GitHub Copilot, - based engineering agents) and drive AI adoption at scale

●        Cloud & Infrastructure Expertise: Experience designing and operating cloud-native services on AWS (EKS, containers like Docker, managed databases) with modern CI/CD orchestration (e.g., CircleCI, ArgoCD, Kubernetes).

●        Systems Design: Strong grounding in system design, data modeling, API design, responsive design principles, and CSS technologies like PandaCSS/CSS3.

●        Observability & Data-Driven Mindset: Comfort working with observability tooling (metrics, logs, traces like NewRelic and Splunk) and using data to debug, optimize, and harden production systems.

●        Leadership & Communication: A proven ability to set technical direction for a problem space, align multiple teams without formal authority, and clearly explain complex trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

●        Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/related field or equivalent professional experience.
