Lead full-cycle accounting and tax compliance, manage complex transaction recording and reconciliations, prepare monthly/quarterly financials, oversee tax filings, liaise with external partners and auditors, mentor junior staff, and drive internal controls and process improvements.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Staff Accountant to lead our full-cycle accounting and tax compliance operations. This role is designed for an experienced financial professional who can manage complex reporting, mentor junior staff, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Oversee the recording of complex financial transactions, review journal entries, and perform advanced account reconciliations and deep-dive variance analysis to ensure ledger integrity.
- Reporting & Deliverables: Lead the preparation and final review of monthly and quarterly bank deliverables and internal financial statements.
- Tax Strategy & Compliance: Manage the preparation and filing of sales, income, franchise, and property tax returns, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely remittance across all jurisdictions.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison for external stakeholders, including banking partners, CPA firms, auditors, and government agencies.
- Process Innovation: Drive the development of internal control policies and spearhead process improvements, system upgrades, and long-term operational strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or CPA track preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
- Technical Expertise: Expert-level understanding of GAAP, ASC606, and internal control frameworks.
- Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in ERP accounting software and expert Microsoft Excel skills.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and team mentorship.
- Aptitude: Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills with a commitment to high-level accuracy and meeting critical deadlines.
