The Senior Strategic Planning Analyst supports high priority strategic initiatives that inform executive decision making and long-term business planning at 7-Eleven. This role enables CEO and Board level discussions by translating complex internal and external inputs into structured analyses and clear narratives that support enterprise direction.
The position strengthens the Strategy team’s enterprise-wide efforts by combining analytical rigor with executive ready storytelling. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in ambiguity, synthesizing complex data into clear insights, and supporting senior stakeholders through decision ready outputs in high visibility settings.
This is not a traditional corporate strategy role. While the team partners closely with senior leadership, it does not run enterprise planning processes and instead operates in an internal advisory capacity, supporting leadership through analytical insights, competitive intelligence, and executive ready materials that inform enterprise discussions and decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop executive ready presentations that translate analysis into structured narratives for senior leadership and Board audiences.
  • Conduct research and strategic analysis on macroeconomic trends, competitive dynamics, customer behaviors, and retail technology.
  • Frame ambiguous business questions into structured analyses that support enterprise-wide initiatives and Board updates.
  • Synthesize complex data and external signals into concise executive summaries for senior leadership.
  • Present analytical outputs directly to senior stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to gather intelligence and reflect an integrated enterprise view.
  • Lead competitive intelligence deep dives and track market share, business model shifts, and emerging disruptors.
  • Support preparation of materials during high intensity reporting cycles such as earnings, Board meetings, and Monthly Business Reviews.
  • Serve as an analytical thought partner to senior leadership by distilling complex concepts into clear narratives.
  • Improve knowledge management processes to strengthen insight accessibility and organizational agility.
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or strategic planning within retail, CPG, or technology sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative field.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills with demonstrated ability to independently develop Board or C suite ready materials.
  • Strong executive communication skills with experience drafting structured summaries for senior audiences and presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify implications and translate analysis into decision ready outputs.
  • Experience working with market or consumer insights and competitive analysis.
  • Comfortable operating in fast paced reporting environments with multiple concurrent deadlines and high intensity deliverable cycles.
  • Experience utilizing LLM based tools for research and insight generation, coupled with a growth-oriented mindset and willingness to take on complex analytical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative field.
  • Familiarity with investor relations processes or earnings preparation cycles.
  • Strong grasp of key retail performance metrics such as comp sales, margins, and store level economics.
  • Experience working with external data or intelligence platforms such as Bloomberg, Placer.ai, or AlphaSense.
