Mythic is building next-generation AI hardware that spans silicon, packaging, and system-level integration. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Systems Integration Engineer to help drive silicon bring-up, hardware validation, debugging, and system characterization across our hardware platforms.

This is a highly technical, lab-focused engineering role working at the intersection of silicon, boards, software, and system validation.

We want someone who can take incomplete systems, ambiguous failures, and first-generation hardware and turn them into working, understood, and high-performing platforms. You will play a critical role in defining how Mythic brings new silicon to life and ensures it works reliably in real systems.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments and wants to work across silicon, board design, software, and manufacturing to solve complex system problems. You should be equally comfortable with deep technical problem solving, hands-on hardware work, and building practical validation solutions in fast-moving environments.

What you’ll own

    • Own system bring-up from first silicon through stable platform operation
    • Drive cross-domain debug across chip, package, board, and software boundaries
    • Define and execute system-level validation strategy for functionality, performance, and power
    • Establish bring-up methodologies, lab infrastructure, and debug workflows
    • Identify and root-cause complex system issues spanning analog, digital, and system domains
    • Correlate silicon behavior with expectations, models, and system requirements
    • Drive system performance characterization and optimization
    • Partner closely with design, systems, product, test, packaging, and software teams to ensure system readiness
    • Provide clear feedback to influence future silicon and system architecture
    • Support transition from prototype hardware into stable production-ready platforms
    • Contribute to documentation and validation methodologies for future hardware programs
    • Lead from the front as an individual contributor who is comfortable working in the lab, debugging hardware, and driving issues to closure
    • Provide technical leadership during hardware stabilization and customer readiness
    • This role is one of the highest leverage positions in an advanced semiconductor organization because every downstream function depends on successful system bring-up and platform stability.

What we’re looking for

    • Experience in silicon bring-up, system integration, or hardware validation
    • Proven track record of debugging complex hardware systems across multiple domains
    • Strong understanding of system architecture, high-speed interfaces, and hardware/software interaction
    • Deep hands-on lab experience with debugging tools and measurement equipment
    • Experience using lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies
    • Experience developing automation tools or test infrastructure using Python, MATLAB, C#, or similar languages
    • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
    • Strong problem-solving instincts and ability to drive issues to root cause
    • Experience working cross-functionally across silicon, hardware, and software teams
    • Builder mindset: you do not wait for structure — you create it

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with AI/ML hardware, accelerators, or high-performance compute systems
    • Familiarity with analog or mixed-signal behavior in real silicon
    • Experience designing or debugging test hardware and validation boards
    • Experience with multi-die or chiplet-based systems
    • Exposure to early-stage hardware development and first-silicon bring-up
    • Familiarity with production test, manufacturing support, or characterization flows
    • Experience working with large datasets and automated testing workflows

What success looks like

    • First silicon and new systems are brought up quickly with strong technical insight
    • System issues are identified early and driven to root cause efficiently
    • Platforms are stable, understood, and ready for broader use
    • System performance is well characterized and aligned with expectations
    • Cross-functional teams operate with clear visibility into system behavior and limitations
    • Hardware platforms transition smoothly from prototype to stable operation

Why this role matters

At Mythic, system integration is not a final step—it is how we turn advanced silicon into working products.

This role sits at the center of that mission.

You will directly influence whether new silicon works, how quickly issues are resolved, and how effectively our hardware platforms scale into real-world deployments.

If you want a role where you can own critical system behavior, solve deep technical problems, and have outsized impact on product success, we should talk.

Compensation & Benefits

    • Competitive salary and equity
    • Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k)
    • Uncapped PTO

Why Mythic

    • Work on ambitious AI hardware with real system complexity
    • Own system integration at a company where your work directly impacts product success
    • Join a highly collaborative team solving hard cross-domain problems
    • Move fast, make decisions, and build from first principles
    • Have outsized impact in a role with real scope and visibility
    • Work in an environment that values ownership, technical depth, and practical problem solving

At Mythic, we pride ourselves in creating a culture where all employees feel valued and appreciated for the diverse perspectives and backgrounds they bring to the team. We aim to hire smart people, give them the resources they need to do their job well, and then leave the rest up to them. We celebrate individual differences and encourage people to be comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work. At the end of the day, we are committed to building a diverse workforce where everyone belongs.
